4 acre lakefront property in the heart of the white mountains on Rainbow Lake. Fish, swim, kayak, or just relax at a cool 7000 foot elevation in the heart of Lakeside-Pinetop AZ. Enjoy a beautiful vintage cabin with incredible hand made sandstone fireplace, a huge redwood deck with wrap around seating, and four fenced acres to let the kids and dogs run free. A truly unique Arizona high country treasure. Co-owner lives in small cabin nearby in case of issues but does not intrude on your guest experience . Keyless entry codes are given to guests,
The white mountains are Arizona's premier year round outdoor playground. There is snow skiing at Sunrise Resort, Arizona's largest ski resort. There are alpine lakes and streams for fishing, boating and camping. There are hundreds of miles of hiking trails to explore. There is abundant wildlife including elk, deer, antelope and the rare gray wolf.
In the Lakeside- Pinetop and nearby Show Low there are many excellent restaurants antique shops, and venues to explore.

Great cabin on the lake!

My wife and I spent three wonderful days at this cabin. We have two dogs, who loved checking out the critters and the lake. The fact that the site was large yet fully enclosed was a real plus for us. Other places may have a fenced in area behind the house, but here the dogs could enjoy the entire property with us and did not need to be leashed.

Christmas break

Sweet spot on the lake

Happy Thanksgiving!

This is our second trip there and we'll be scheduling our third! We love the privacy yet there are plenty of places nearby if you need anything. The lake and the wildlife around you is pretty cool! And our dog loves it too!

This place is fantastic! Nature all around and very private, the deck overlooking the lake was the best. We never turned the TV on, everything we needed to see was outside or on the lake. I've stayed in many places in the area and this was the best!

Amazing!

The pictures do not do Ruby or the lake justice. It was absolutely perfect - quiet and peaceful. My husband fished pretty much 24-7 and caught enough to keep him happy. Our dogs absolutely loved it and the geese and other wildlife were charming and entertaining. We cannot wait to visit again. Thank you Shari and Jim!

Lakeside paradise

Beautiful vintage lakeside cabin just steps away from the lake. Relaxed in the rocking chairs watching the sunset from the huge deck overlooking the lake. Loved all the ducks, geese and heron too!

Better than expected

Initially we were overly happy with this property due to the pictures not doing it justice. It’s absolutely beautiful and perfect for a relaxing stay. Being that they allow dogs made it even better. Highly recommended.

Relaxation for People and Pups!

We loved the lakefront cabin! We have two ridgebacks that completely enjoyed themselves too! We had everything we needed and more - had fun sitting around the fire pit and looking at the lake each night. Having a Christmas tree up when we were there was an added bonus. I would highly recommend the cabin to anyone and we plan to be back in the warmer months to kayak on the water!

Our stay at Rubys

We loved Rubys. Very clean everything you need is in the cabin. Beautiful property. Owner of property was very accommodating. Checkin and out was very simple. We would have liked the fence to be more secure for our large dogs. Over all very relaxing and fun stay!

A wonderful cabin!

We really enjoyed our brief stay at this cabin. It was lovely inside and out. The deck was a great outdoor hangout, watching the birds and the beautiful lake. The home is decorated with style and creativity, and it was a pleasure to see new furniture! The dogs loved having space to roam, and we taught our puppy how to swim! Lots of fun and we hope to return soon!

Heaven for humans and dogs alike

This was the best experience that we’ve ever had here in Pinetop. My autistic son, accompanied by his support dog, overcame many fears and was calmer than I have ever seen him. The scenery was perfect, the cabin was perfect. I am so grateful to have had the days here to decompress and just enjoy the simple things in life. Perfect vacation. We will be back as soon as we can.

Just another day in Paradise

We absolutely loved the property and the history of the area. The lake is beautiful and so relaxing and peaceful. Our small dog loved her multiple swims everyday and we enjoyed the wildlife and the slow pace of the canoes, paddle boards, kayaks and pontoons. People were out fishing from morning until well into the night. The cabin is totally stocked with anything you might need. You step into a time capsule that is so well preserved and tastefully decorated. We highly recommend this rental and hosts.

Beautiful and Amazing Property

Our family loved this property! We brought our teenage daughters and 7 month Doberman puppy. The fenced yard is huge and the most beautiful property in front of the lake. We were able to fish, hangout, walk, kayak, row the boat and explore. We caught tons of fish. The dog loved running through the yard and we felt safe letting her do so. This house is older, but very charming. It was exceptionally clean ! The owner thought of all the details for not only us, but for the dog. We had a wonderful time there. We will definitely be coming back, but staying a little longer. Thanks for the use of this beautiful property.
