We have only positive things to say about our recent stay at the Treetop Lodge. The accommodations were wonderful and included a fire pit, barbecue grill and outdoor jacuzzi. Everything was well thought out and aesthetically pleasing. We could relax and enjoy family time, go for a hike to the lake or roast marshmallows by the fire. I highly recommend this VRBO.
We were 3 adults and 3 children age 1-8. This was a wonderful

Hideaway House
The driveway in was an adventure. The house was beautiful. We could not enjoy the upstairs due to lack of access. The straight up ladder was not appropriate for seniors. The trail to the lake was also too difficult. Very dog friendly.
We had been looking forward to a coastal getaway for sometime and had seen the nice pictures of this cabin posted here on VRBO. It certainly did not disappoint! This modern cabin was super cozy and the kids had fun staying upstairs. It was well stocked and well equipped with everything you can possibly need. We loved the private trails and found that they took you all the way down to the lakefront. It was also very close to an amazing lake with dunes where we were able to do some kayaking. The owner Timothy was very responsive. We hope to return soon!
We cannot say enough good things about this cabin. It is very private in a beautiful, forest coast location. There is a trail to walk to the lake. Every amenity imaginable is provided. These are clearly very thoughtful hosts. My family of six (two parents, four kids ages 4-14) were very comfortable here. My kids loved the ladder stairs and the entertainment zone in the loft. The hot tub was a hit for all. Close to Oregon coast state parks and Oregon sand dunes. Local lake Hall Lake was our favorite visit- giant sand dune, warm water, beautiful trees. Communication with host was prompt and friendly. Highly recommended! We can't wait to go back.
This is a perfect spot to stay for your “get away from it all for a few days” retreat. I went alone and had a blast. You’re nestled into the forest, just far away from the towns enough to feel isolated while being close enough to get to Safeway in 25 minutes. Perfect launch point for a southwest coast trip. I got to experience a storm in the forest with 40 mile per hour wind gusts which is fun and makes you feel tiny! Modern appliances, modern furniture but cozy. It’s like Glamping with all the perfection of a nice home while having the coziness of a cabin.
I’d recommend an SUV or 4WD to get in, especially in the rain. Also be aware that you’ll need to climb a vertical ladder if you want to go upstairs which is 100% awesome. There is a dumbwaiter which is cool lol. The hosts are perfect and extremely engaged. Overall a 5/5. Perfect stay and will be back.
For a one night stay it felt amazing to be with friends in a beautiful place with a hot tub and a fireplace and beautiful scenery around us 100% coming back to this Beautiful home!
To say this stay was in a beautiful location is an understatement! This was stop number two of our week long Oregon journey, and I wish we had been able to stay longer. I loved how secluded this location is, it was an amazing escape into the forest. An early morning hike to the lake was a great way to start our day. The cabin is well stocked with all necessities. The hot tub was perfect and great for stargazing. I highly recommend staying here for as long as you can!
My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary, we brought along our 5 and 2 year old with us. It was absolutely stunning!! The location the cabin everything about it.
It was scary at first with the steep stairs with our 2 year old, but he did warn us before hand and it was fine, she ended up not even climbing it unless we helped her. We will definitely be coming back! We had so much fun and it was sooo relaxing 🤩
As soon as we arrived we loved this pretty and quirky retreat. Our young daughters enjoyed exploring the garden (although there was some dog poo on the lawn, which accounts for the loss of one star from the cleanliness rating), and the trails, and Uncle Michael is friendly and kind.
Inside, the property is cosy and fun, with everything you need for a stay at any time of year. You only need to bring food supplies…
We enjoyed family film night on the snuggly sofa upstairs, hot tub dips, star gazing and roasting marshmallows round the firepit. There is a nice viewpoint with red chairs in the garden, which is the perfect place to spot eagles soaring. We don’t have eagles like this where we live, so that was a treat.
It’s a perfect base for exploring parts of the Oregon coast, including the Oregon Coast Aquarium in Newport, dramatic trails and cliffs near Cape Perpetua, the cute foodie town of Florence (try Nosh and River Roasters for great food and drink indulgences), C&M stables for horseback riding in the dunes and on the beach, Jessie M Honeyman state memorial park, numerous beaches (we visited Horsfall), and a drive up the Umpqua River Valley to Eugene (where you can enjoy yummy fish and chips at Newmans and craft beer at The Bier Stein) is gorgeous on a sunny day…
We hope to be back in the US (and Oregon) one day, and would definitely love to stay here again.
Highly recommended for families, but it would also be a magical honeymoon spot!
Thank you Tim (and Uncle Michael).
We absolutely loved our long weekend staying in this gorgeous cabin. It has been nicely remodeled with creature comforts, without taking away from its natural setting. It was a perfect venue for family time away from home playing board games, reading, camp fires, and even hiking the on-property trails to the lake. Additionally the property is very close to many state and county parks, access to the dunes and beaches. We can’t recommend this property highly enough.
The house is beautiful, as is the location. It was exactly as pictured. Very clean. Our teenage son loved the loft. His dream "pad." We had fun figuring out how to use the high-tech stove. The kitchen had everything we needed. Beds were very comfortable. Enjoyed the outdoor silence.
Lovely little place for a quiet and peaceful getaway. Loved that check in and check out were simple. Everything was clean and nice, they even have bowls and towels for your pup! The path to the lake is a bit steep in parts, bring hiking shoes!!
Absolutely loved this property. Easy to unwind in the hot tub, Adirondack chairs, by the fire. We had two 17 year old girls that just loved the loft, and the snack bucket elevator. Gave us a nice vacation from them as well! 😉. Highly recommend!!!
We liked the home a lot. It was a little dicey with small children and the ladder up to the second story, but I saw that going in. :) I loved the house, and so did the family.
We honestly loved almost everything about the stay! The only thing is that we thought it was going to be very private and tucked away from everything, however there is another rental visibly next to it that we were not expecting from the pictures. However, it was still a very peaceful and pleasant escape for the weekend and I would highly recommend it!
Hands down the best equipped and well thought out vacation rental I've ever stayed in. There were two questions I had for the owner and wasn't even able to set my phone down before I got a response. I'll definitely try to stay here again!
Stayed here for a weekend with a small group of friends and everything was perfect! The hot tub was already warming up when we got there which was excellent. The cabin was clean, super inviting, and had everything we needed to cook and grill. The short hike to the lake was fun, the fire pit was great for s’mores, and the location is close to the beach and dunes. Awesome for star gazing if it’s a clear night. We all had a great time relaxing. I also loved that there were dog towels and bowls! It felt like every detail was thought of in this beautiful cabin. 10/10
