Amazing Cabin!
We rented this cabin as a family for Christmas. There were 10 adults and 2 kids, and there was plenty of room. The cabin was well stocked, quiet, and perfect! I used the wifi for work and never had an issue. We had an amazing time and will definitely be back!

Austrian wonderland, best cabin so far!
This cabin had everything, good neighbors, all the amenities, lots to look at inside, 4th story loft for a huge family with kids. Nice 2nd story quiet 3 bedroom area, master has a 2 person tub or should i say hot tub. 3rd story kitchen, fully equipped! We took advantage of the movie collection, Chess and poker tables while there. Plus it is the first 3 rights to China Peak for skiing, 15 minutes with chains on. Wear chains 2023 or you'll be skiing in your 4x4 but even 2wd made it with chains/cables.

Beautiful Home
This mountain log home felt like a retreat! Everything about the home is custom, warm and welcoming. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, gadgets and small kitchen appliances! The oven was brand new and in perfect working condition. I really appreciate that there was enough soap and dishwasher pods for our whole stay. The rooms were warm with lots of blankets, which were great for snowy winter retreat! The game table was a fun! There are games there but we brought our favorites. We had a slight issue with the T.V. But the property manger work with us. The only thing I’d recommend is bring your own firewood to enjoy the beautiful fireplace!! We really enjoyed our stay and we thank the owners for sharing their home with us!! 5 ⭐️

Great family friendly rental
We had a family gathering for this stay. Be prepared for a lot of stairs. The kitchen was very nicely equipped. We had to wash everything before we used it. The shower portion in the kitchen level bathroom was broken. Overall the place was very well kept. There is no Wi-Fi and very little cell signal, so be prepared for that. We wish we could have stayed longer. It was extremely peaceful. There was a bear there one night and the next night there were a bunch of beef cattle roaming the area. Pretty cool to watch.

Great Family Cabin
We had a wonderful time up the with family and friends. The cabin is set up perfectly with and abundance of space and a huge kitchen. The 4th floor loft is great for families with kids. The Starlink Wifi works great. The cabin is only 15 minutes from China Peak and the main road to the cabin is plowed (chains ALWAYS recommended, but we didn't need to use them). The kitchen had some new pans to cook with on the beautiful gas stove and loads of plates/cups/etc. The dishwasher was nice to have with such a large group. We brought our own wood to use the fireplace, but the heater keeps the whole place very cozy. The Tamarack neighborhood is quiet and beautiful to walk around the road (which is one big loop). Highly recommended!

Isolated
It would have been better if the description would explain the distance from town, the elevation and that there is no internet or TV. The lock boxes on the door described in the instructions did not work. Luckily, after about 45 minutes, I found another lock box around the back on the gas meter. The Keurig coffee maker and the CD changer did not work. The grout in the master bathroom was missing/loose.

Great stay for a family Headed to China Peak
We very much enjoyed our stay. The house has a great upstairs loft for kids to hang out, play and sleep, even a big group of them. The kitchen counter was large enough to accommodate our entire group to sit for a meal. The living room is comfortable and the wood burning fireplace is working. The location is easy to get to and close to China Peak if you’re headed out for the day. It’s a quick drive down the mountain to get into the town of Shaver for any necessities that you may have forgot, or passes for sled parks. Some things are a bit dated, but I believe the owners are updating those items. The stove is fun, but the oven door sounds like it’s going to break every time you open and close it. The sheets on all the beds could do with an upgrade in quality but the blankets are warm. Some of the cookware has been used roughly but overall the kitchen is stocked with all items that you will need to make and enjoy a meal. The cupboards are not stocked with things like ziplocks, coffee, seasonings are minimal etc. We would recommend this day to a friend, or come back ourselves .

Rent from another company.
Don't rent from Vacasa. I will say the house itself is beautiful but not worth all the trouble. We had our stove explode two times, it was something I had never heard or seen before. We will never forget it, that's for sure. I immediately tried to reach out to Vacasa, when I finally got a hold of someone they told me no one could come out to take a look at what was going on. Which was concerning because this was a safety issue. They told me in this case to cook on the BBQ grill outside(in the cold). I found an electric griddle and that DIDN'T work either. So we only cooked whatever we could outside. (We were left with so much food we weren't able to cook). The oven didn't work either. Apparently, it hasn't been after reading other reviews. The next morning all of my calls were forwarded to a voice-mail. Vacasa did provide compensation but it was not suitable in my opinion. I have made several attempts to have someone call me back regarding this matter and no one has called me back. This is a lesson learned , I will never rent from this company again. Extremely unprofessional.

Great upgrades
Been a while since I had last stayed at this cabin. The new tv and living room furniture was a great addition. We enjoyed streaming Netflix on the TV in the evening after a day outdoors. We’ll be back soon for winter! Thanks!!

Peaceful Retreat
I recently stayed at this beautiful log cabin, and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience! The cabin’s rustic charm combined with modern amenities made it the perfect place for a peaceful retreat. The natural wood interiors gave it such a warm and inviting feel, and the craftsmanship throughout was impressive. The cabin itself was cozy, impeccably clean, and beautifully furnished. The kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy to prepare meals, and the outdoor propane fire pit was a great spot for relaxing in the evenings. The owners clearly put a lot of thought into every detail, making sure guests feel welcome and comfortable. One of the highlights was the nearby hiking trails—perfect for anyone who enjoys outdoor adventures. We hiked Rancheria Falls and enjoyed lunch at the China Peak Landing at Huntington Lake. Whether you're looking to explore the area or just relax on the porch with a cup of coffee, this cabin is the ideal retreat. I can't recommend this place highly enough and can't wait to return for another peaceful escape!

Great location bad property management
We arrived at our check in time of 4pm and the cleaning person was still there. She was by herself and continued cleaning for 45 more minutes. When I asked her how much longer until she was done she said she would leave the sheets for the loft and I could make the beds myself so she could get out of our way and go to another job. I said no she could do it. We also had to ask her to empty the trash compactor as that was full. The place was large and the location was amazing. It was not cleaned very well and could use a deep clean and some maintenance. One of the sliding glass doors doesn’t lock, the railings are very wobbly on the decks, and there was a rusty nail sticking up on one of the decks. Both can openers in the kitchen didn’t work. A lot of the drawers/cupboards are dirty as well as some of the items were dirty-example pans were greasy and needed to be washed before use and a glass had lipstick on it. The worst thing about this place was the sheets. They are terrible quality and are all flat sheets. Everyone in my family thought they were terrible. The sleeping loft also could use curtains for the sliding doors so you don’t wake up with the sun. The place is very unique and could be amazing. The property management company is terrible about responding to questions. I will be very careful not to rent a property managed by Vacasa in the future.

We had another great time returning to this cabin and we were happy to see some small upgrades from our last visit. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the needed cooking utensils and pots/pans. We can’t wait for our next trip back up to the mountains and will definitely be staying here.

Beautiful Beautiful home! Stocked kitchen was disappointing
The home is extraordinary. The kitschy design and decor appealed to me very much. The bathrooms were stocked with crisp white towels and the basic shampoo and conditioner. Our favorite part was the vast DVD collection. The kids enjoyed that very much. We also appreciated the baby gates for the stairs. Now for the negatives. I hate to emphasize these, however I think it will help others make accurate decisions for themselves and their families. The boardgames were very disheveled, and were either broken or had missing pieces. The kitchen was the biggest disappointment for us. There were ziplock bags in drawers that were either empty (already used) or half full of items such as sugar, coffee grounds, etc. The pans were all worn. The plates were chipped and not organized. And the shelves and drawers were dirty with crumbs and stains.

Cabin Brought the Magic of the Holidays
Fantastic cabin in a great location close to China Peak and Shaver Lake Amenities. My family and I stayed there and had an early Christmas celebration. The snowy weather and the cabin's Austrian charm added to the magic of the occasion. The only trouble we had was that the oven did not work -- which was a bummer because we had planned on backing a Christmas ham. After contacting the property manager, they were able to get us some propane for the outside grill and some electric roasters which allowed us to cook. I believe the issue with the oven will be resolved shortly. I would definitely recommend a stay at this charming residence.

Great
Positives: The cabin is beautiful inside. A lot of steps and stairs but worth it. It might not be ideal for elderly or little little ones. Bath tubs were deep and relaxing. Having 3 bathrooms was very helpful. The heater kept the whole cabin warm. There are many lights and outlets for convenience. We spent most of our time playing games, watching dvds, and playing poker while indoors. We were a short way to fishing and hiking. The kitchen was well stocked. Negatives: First things first, we had no internet connection at all. There were many phones in the house but they only worked for emergency calls. We had to drive down about 15mins to check on family members. 2nd, we were greeted with a sign that the oven was out of order for our Thanksgiving week vacation. We were not notified prior. There is a strong smell of smoke in the air, it didn't bother most of us but it is something to keep in mind. We only had a DVD player and one tv. Many movies and books but only one kids movie so you might want to bring extras.
