"The hotel looks to be renovated and uses a digital key to open the front sliding door and room door. I was sent a link with my reservation info and the digital keys. Opened the link on my phone and swiped the digital key to open the door. My concern was whether their WiFi would be working, which is needed to open the link. Cell signal on my phone was spotty there. Parking was in the rear of the hotel on parking spots with yellow lines. Coop market was next door, which was very convenient....

"Had a wonderful stay in Sachseln with family, contracted for the entire B&B. B&B is run is true Swiss fashion, timely, efficiently, clean. Plenty of bedrooms, shared baths, recently built gazebo outside which was great for outdoors wine/cheese. Verena operates a beautiful villa directly on lake Sarnen, good restaurants and local stores nearby... excellent for access to Swiss rail as the station is directly behind the villa. Would look forward to staying at Verena's Boutique Villa again..."

"Beautiful old hotel with lovely Swiss charm. The breakfast is phenomenal! Delicious fresh breads and real, fresh butter. The beds are soft and comfortable with fluffy down comforters. The views from the terrace were breathtaking. The staff was friendly and helpful. Catching the bus to the train station was quick and easy! I would love to stay here again!"

"The guesthouse is an old wooden building located 100 meter from the main building in a very quiet corner of the village. There is a free public parking right next to it. The room we had in the guesthouse was quite small and with low ceiling. The persons taller than 1m90 might touch the ceiling. The amenities were quite basic. "Verena was a great host. We had a large group and rented all the rooms. Everything was perfect in the house. As to location, it’s great. The train station is across the street. A restaurant is next door. The lake is across the train tracks. And the views from every window is fantastic. Highly recommended."

"Cons- The family accomodation not suitable for more than 4 people with a max of 2 adults per stay. The towels were tiny, they were only big enough to wrap around my 5 year old son. The lift in the building was tiny and only big enough for 2 people. Pro-The apartment was easily accessible and the communication was excellent. The supermarkets were the next to the apartment which was great. The walk to the city was easy and close. "
