Lakefront Cottage with Firepit, Kayaks, SUP's, Floating dock & Peddle Boat

Lake Lure continues to recover from Helene. Although Chimney Rock Village shops and the Lake Lure lake/beach/waterfront will not be open for recreational use in 2025, Bald Mountain Lake will be useable. Daydream Inn is a peaceful, vintage lakefront home on Bald Mountain Lake in Lake Lure. Professionally managed, cleaned, and linens provided. 3 Bedrooms, 3 full baths. Sleeps 6. Enjoy great outdoor spaces and activities including spacious deck with gas grill, screened porch with outdoor dining, private dock to fish, swim, use of 2 Kayaks/SUP'S and peddle boat. Bald Mt Lake is a private, non-motorized lake, fishing license not required. Guest passes provided for access to RB amenities- outdoor pools, fitness room, indoor pool/saunas. Also 2 championship 18-hole golf courses, driving ranges, spa/salon, mini golf, lighted tennis, pickleball, basketball courts and seasonal special events-may require additional fees. Daydream Inn can be a "home base" for visiting nearby area attractions and restaurants in Lake Lure, Hendersonville, and Asheville. Tryon International Equestrian Center pavilion is hosting some of the Chimney Rock businesses. Rutherfordton, Black Mountain, Saluda, Asheville, Mills River, Blowing Rock, Boone and Brevard are great day trip destinations all offering a variety of venues such as breweries, wineries, music, all within an hours drive. By visiting, you are supporting the local businesses recovery.

MAIN LEVEL: Daydream Inn features an open floor plan with Great Room, fully equipped updated Kitchen, Dining Area table with 4 chairs plus Breakfast Bar with 2 additional seats. Great Room has gas fireplace (Oct 1- May 1), Smart TV comfortable seating. Great Room, Deck and Screened Porch overlook Bald Mt Lake and private dock. Gas grill on the deck (propane supplied). Screened porch dining table with seating for 6. Master Bedroom has 1 Queen bed, large Smart TV and private Bath with walk-in shower. Bedroom 2 has two Full size beds, Smart TV and Bedroom 3 has two Queen beds with Smart TV, share a Jack-n-Jill Bath with combination tub/shower. 3rd full newly remodeled Bath is located adjacent to the Kitchen. Easy access from a large drive and paved parking area to Main Entrance. Parking for 3+ vehicles.

Perfect Location
We enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect. We spent every night down at the dock. This area of the lake is so peaceful. My kiddos didn’t want to go home!

This was a perfect place to stay and relax while we celebrated the wedding of my daughter at Rumbling Bald. We especially enjoyed several days of relaxation after the big event. Loved the artistic vibe and peaceful lake.

beautiful views, peaceful location. My husband and I stayed in the master bedroom and I had the best nights sleep in ages and would love to know the make and model of the mattress. The access to the Rumbling Bald is a definite bonus. The kayaks, peddle boat and floating dock were very much appreciated.

Great get away
We had such a wonderful time at your place. The house was well maintained and really cute. We enjoyed lots of laughts on the screen porch and even spent the afternoon on the dock. Thank you for sharing.

Very pleasant stay. We did note a large grease stain in the oven and the floors were dirty. I did try to remove the stain with goo gone, but a self clean should be in order.

The beds were comfortable and the inside was clean and well appointed with an eclectic decor that we all enjoyed. We immersed ourselves in the waterfront daily - making good use of the kayaks, sups and floating raft. Everything was in good working order. We especially enjoyed having access to Rumbling Bald amenities including the pools, putt putt golf, the waterfront and the fitness center. We are already booking for next year. Management was wonderful to work with as well.

Sisters getaway
Stayed at this amazing lakefront home for a long weekend sisters getaway. It was beautiful, clean , cozy and full of charm. The online pictures do not do it justice. From the cabin to the location and amenities the home came with was wonderful. We swam in the lake, took peddle boat out for a little ride. Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you would need to make your own meals which we did after some sun and water time in the lake. We would recommend 100 percent. Also near the town of Chimney Rock with adorable shops and good eats. Next time we plan to stay longer !

Great with a few requests.
My requests are to put a king bed in the master bedroom so my wife and I can sleep together. There is plenty of room. Also, blinds on all the windows in the master. I had to move many things off the counters and cabinets to the laundry room to make room for our dry goods.

Nice getaway
The house was very clean and well stocked. Sue was extremely responsive to all of our needs. The children loved kayaking and swimming in the lake. The amenities at Rumbling Bald were a real plus especially the lazy river. Because we had unusually hot weather we were unable to have dinner on the porch so my only suggestion is to have a few extra chairs for the indoor dining table. We were six people and two had to eat at the counter. It would have been nice for all of us to sit at the table.

We knew we wanted something lake-front with enough beds for everyone, and this spot ticked all the boxes and more. We knew it had everything we needed, but we were blown away when we arrived; it exceeded all expectations in person!Grandma was so happy to have a room separated from all the grandkids, and the young kids were thrilled to have rooms across from each other for max cousin fun!We lived on the water thanks to the floating dock, and put the paddle boards and kayaks to good use every day.The kitchen was more spacious than expected, and we were even able to host our 12 other relatives across the lake for dinner with ease.We can't wait to book Daydream Inn again next summer!

Incredible place offering beautiful lake views, terrific amenities, and plenty of room. We enjoyed using the peddle boat daily, the great kitchen with space for the whole family to help with preparation, and the multiple deck options for dining and morning coffee. We’ll definitely be planning a return visit!!

Gals Get together
It was the perfect place for our reunion. 5 HS friends met in Charlotte and stayed at Daydream House for 4 nights and we picked the right place! The house was just as described. Clean, fully equipped and right on a beautiful part of the lake. Beds were very comfortable with fresh linens and plenty of towels for the bath. We floated out on the swim dock all day and had dinner at Lake House restaurant. Hosts were very responsive. The best time!!

It is a beautiful home with everything you could possibly need , from kayaks and paddle boards to skewers for roasting marshmallows. Just pack your clothes and toiletries and you are good to go. We love the Ingall’s grocery store just a 15 minute drive and the Rumbling Bald amenities.

They founds us a place on the fly, and it was PERFECT - right on the lake, with all of the water amenities (an amazing overall location to boot) you could ask for. We loved it - every minute of it!
