At Lake Junaluska, there are many activities and amenities for you to enjoy.
In the summer, the Olympic size pool is open and the pool is built to give you the illusion that you are actually swimming in the lake! Kayaks, canoes, and paddle boats can be rented in the summer from the aquatic center. Pickle ball, shuffleboard, mini golf, basketball, volley ball and tennis are also great activities at Lake Junaluska.
Fishing is permitted with the proper fishing license. There is a public boat launch. Electric motors or paddles must be used on the lake...no gas powered boats or personal watercraft. Several docks are located around the lake for your fishing pleasure. The playground is open year round and is an awesome place for children to play and frolic. There are also covered picnic tables. There is a paved 2.6 mile walking/running path that encircles the 200 acre lake. The views of the mountains are stunning. Enjoy viewing the ducks and swans along the way! This path is great for strollers too. You will want to take your camera along to snap some pictures of the lake and mountains. The Rose Walk is a must see at Lake Junaluska. It is a portion of the trail around the lake and there are numerous rose bushes with a rainbow of color. Don't forget to 'stop and smell the roses'.
