Community has 3 pools: 2 outdoor and 1 indoor, 2 sandy beach lakes, Private access and FREE usage of paddle boat, kayaks and rowboat on Deer Lake. Perfect Getaway

Lovely cottage in friendly community
We loved our stay at the cozy cottage. There are many amenities we were able to enjoy during our stay. The lake beach and pools were clean and nice and there were many places to fish.

Affordable cabin in a great location
This was perfect for a family of four. There was plenty of space for all of us and our belongings. Location was great, with access to the private community lakes, beaches, and pools bring an added bonus. We would definitely stay here again!

Cozy Cottage kudos
This is our third stay at this sweet house in the woods of WLE. It is perfect for our needs as a senior couple, and we hope to be back next summer. Our host Gail is very accommodating, and the amenities are more than adequate!

Great Pocono retreat
The house is clean and cozy. It has everything you might need for a short getaway or a longer stay. We did enjoy the fireplace and BBQ grill on a terrace. Mattresses are comfortable and give you a good sleep.

Cozy Cottage at WLE
I am so grateful to have found this listing! We were originally going stay half the week at the beach in Jersey and half the week at the Cozy Cottage, but COVID happened, and we changed our plans to spend the whole week plus at Wallenpaupack. Gail is completely amazing and hospitable. The cottage is rustic and, indeed, cozy. There was room for 7 plus our dog. We all slept very comfortably. The patios were perfect for relaxing, reading, morning coffee, or our morning workouts. On rainy days, Gail left us a large DVD library to choose from. On sunny days, we got to use the estate's pools and lake beaches or Gail's paddle boat, kayaks and row boat on the lake. It was a short drive to shopping and food in Honesdale, Hawley, and Milford. I really can't say enough about the amazing communication between Gail and I. She was just an fantastic host, and we're very thankful to have had the time to spend at her little cottage in the woods.

House has the essentials, but needs a few upgrades
The house has all of the essentials, and the owner, Gail, is very friendly. She stopped by the day after we checked in to give us our car pass, and encouraged us to borrow her unmotorized boats on her property. It was nice that there were several lake and pool options within a short car ride. The house was obviously cleaned well before we arrived, but I would suggest that the carpeting in the living room be replaced in the near future- the smell of animal urine was present throughout our stay and was very hard to mask with air fresheners. I do recognize that we chose a pet-friendly property so we could bring our dog, but we’ve stayed at several other dog-friendly places without this issue. The ceiling fan in the 2nd bedroom squeaks so loud that we had to keep it turned off. The only other mishap was that the fridge was leaking quite a bit when we arrived, causing a delay in us getting ourselves situated and unpacked. Once we cleaned up the mess, the leak slowed down. Gail mentioned she has not had a chance to get the fridge replaced because she does not want to inconvenience her guests with the delivery of a new fridge. I do hope that it is replaced soon. We had a fun time, but I don’t think we’ll return to this area again unless we found a spot right on the lake.

First visit to the Poconos
The cottage was PERFECT for our family vacation. Parents and two adult children with their spouses. Biggest surprise was the amount of time spent on the deck watching the dears walk by. The pool and the game room were enjoyed by all.

We enjoyed our 4th of July holiday at the house - the community was very nice and the holiday activities were fun. House was very comfortable, close to the lakes, and the community had good amenities. Great communications - very responsive and helpful.

Senior Serenity
This is the third summer my husband and I have stayed at Cozy Cottage. We are a senior couple, and the area and house are perfect for our needs- quiet, and convenient to lakes, walking paths and the lovely Beaver Lake Lodge pool. We plan on returning!

Riding the D & L
We were in the area to ride the rails to trails. The house had a very worn feel. The screen door fell off the hinges as we opened it to enter for the first time. The only light on the second floor was broken. We reported it and Gail came right over to address the issues. The community was very quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed the deer joining us at the fire ring in the evening.

Clean & Cozy
A cozy cottage indeed! Gail was very communicative, and the community amenities were lovely. House has all the essentials as well as a grill, fire pit, and fairly ample parking to take advantage of. WiFi slowed down a bit with multiple devices, but the area has good cell service. Great host and a cute, rustic house!
