"The house was very clean. Our teenage son and his friends really enjoyed the basement area. Only complaint is there’s no bathroom in the basement. But the house was great. Not much water view from the house due to trees. But if you walk down to dock area it’s a really pretty view up the lake. The fire pit was also very nice. "

" We had a very weekend stay at Bumpass in early October. The house is conveniently located near a marina and dollar general. We had 3 adults and 3 kids in our group and we had enough space to spread out; could have probably done a couple more people still felt good about the space. There are three living areas with a basement movie room (very cool), a main floor living room with large tv, and a screened in patio. There are lots of board games as well that we got into. There is also the large outdoor deck with grill AND Blackstone. The hot tub is certainly a nice touch as well! The outdoor property is well appointed with nice fire pit, frisbee golf “hole”, nice dock with sitting area, good place for lake swimming off the dock, and canoes, kayaks and paddle boards! Despite having enough room for our group, I did think the home felt a little smaller than the pictures suggest. Be prepared to bring all of your own kitchen supplies; there are no supplies, not even salt and pepper. Finally be aware that the hot tub will not be hot when you arrive, unless you are adjacent to a prior stay; it is kept at 85F when the house is not rented. Overall it was a very nice rental. My family and I really enjoyed our weekend."
