"We really enjoyed Casa Mariposa. Perfect for a couple. Good location with several good restaurants within a mile or two. The Starlight Theatre, Bar and Grill has amazing food, and we caught some great live music when there. The bed was really comfortable, which is a must after a full day of hiking. "We had a lovely stay in this little bungalow. It had everything you need for a visit. We visited both BBNP and the state park nearby (don't forget to visit that). A little coffee maker to brew some coffee was wonderful as an afternoon pick-me-up after a long morning of hiking, along with a mini-fridge to hold the basic necessities. "We had the best time! It was wonderful to have the Little Burro Country Store close by. I loved how remote it felt and yet how close it was to services in Terlingua. The place was well appointed, clean, and beautiful. Everyone involved in hosting was gracious and kind. We will be back! "

"Over Labor Day weekend 2024, our family of eight (4 adults and 4 kids) had an amazing stay. The location of the house is fantastic, offering breathtaking views. For food, there are a few great options nearby, including a deli just five minutes from the house. The kids had an absolutely fantastic time, making it a truly memorable experience for everyone."

"The Chisos property at Fossil Knob Ridge is such a great place to stay when visiting the Terlingua/Big Bend area. The views are gorgeous and the stargazing is outstanding! While the trek up the last stretch of road is a little bumpy, it is very conveniently located and everything is just as described. There has also been a lot of thought and care put into the necessities and amenities available. We had an awesome stay!"
