We stayed two weeks in this fantastic house in Oriciatico. The family that welcomed us was very kind and gentle, we got several tips to do in the area. We were there with two kids and got everything we needed. The house was tidy and clean, the location is easy to travel from and the pool has a gorgeous view. We had an amazing time in Orciatico and can recommend it most definetly. Ciao tutti!

Sehr charmantes Haus, toll hergerichtet
Sehr charmantes Haus mit herrlichem Außenbereich. Der Pool ist sehr gepflegt und der Ausichtsplatz oberhalb des Pools hat wirklich eine wunderbare Aussicht. Das Haus ist mitten in dem kleinen Bergdorf, aber absolut ruhig. Tolles Ambiente im Erdgeschoß durch ein paar Relikte aus der früheren Zeit als Ölmühle, Auch sonst ist das Haus sehr gepflegt und gut ausgestattet. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen. Idyllisches Haus
Nach vielen Ausflügen in die nahe und ferne Umgebung, war es toll in das Haus zu kommen. Es hat an nichts gefehlt. Der Pool und der Whirlpool waren eine Bereicherung! Ein rundum gelungener Urlaub.

Heel leuke aangename woning te midden Orciatico. Voldoende schaduwplaats en voor wie wil ook heel veel plaats om te zonnen. Het zwembad was zalig en nagenieten kan in de jacuzzi. Vanuit de tuin heb je een mooi zicht op de Toscaanse heuvels en Volterra. Vriendelijke mensen in het dorpje met de aanwezigheid van een klein winkeltje, een bank en bar. Aanrader! Via de eigenaar (Gualandi) ook wijn en olijfolie gekocht van hun eigen ranken en boomgaard.

Raad de volgende huurders aan om extra maatregelen Te nemen tegen de muggen Ik was er de zaterdag en zwembad was niet onderhouden Hebben de woensdag en donderdag met 3 man ervan moeten werken pm het proper te krijgen ???

Mit viel Liebe zum Detail umgebaute Ölmühle! Wohlfühlen im tollen Ambiente! Ferienwohnung voller schöner Antiquitäten. Entspannen im Pool und im Jakuzi und den herrlichen Ausblick auf die Hügel der Toscana und Volterra genießen…. Einzigste Touristen im Schönen verschlafenen Dorf. Sehr nette freundliche Dorfbewohner.

Geweldige accommodatie! Goed toegankelijk vanaf de weg. Bij het huisje heb je 3 garages, een elektronische poort voor de auto en een hek / omheining om het hele huis. Huis is modern. Grote (volledige) keuken, prima badkamers. Zwembad en tuin ook erg mooi aangelegd en onderhouden. Je kunt zelf een robot aanzetten om het zwembad te schrobben iedere nacht. Enige wat voor ons ontbrak waren wat zachte kussens voor de ligbedden.

Prachtige locatie in gerestaureerd olijfolie fabriekje met verschillende terrassen om te genieten van tuin, heerlijk zwembad en prachtig uitzicht op de vallei. Romantisch dorpje met minimale voorzieningen. Zeer vriendelijke ontvangst door de eigenaar. Dorp ligt tegen heuvel geplakt, dus veel klimwerk. Ook op benedenverdieping in het huis veel treden tussen de verschillende ruimtes. Bedden kunnen een betere matras gebruiken. Ideale plek voor een rustige vakantie (in eigen tuin) of als uitvalsbasis voor mooie culturele excursies in de prachtige steden in de omgeving.

Goed ontvangen door de eigenaar, rondleiding en uitleg gekregen. We werden ook één avond uitgenodigd voor een etentje, dat was super , zelfgemaakte pizza's, lekker wijntje en limoncello, dessertpizza met nutella en we mochten zelf proberen de pizza te maken ! Het huis was goed in orde, er was echter maar één bed waarin je goed kon slapen , onze andere medereizigers moesten wat matrassen op mekaar stapelen om toch een beetje comfortabel te liggen. De omgeving was fantastisch mooi.

The house is very nice. Autenthic. The garden is the real reason why you should book this accommodation. Astonishing views and great swimming pool. We had really bad weather so we didn’t enjoy the garden as much as we would have liked. The village is small. Not very much to do.

De accommodatie was heel goed. De vader van de eigenaar was een heel aangename heer, die de nodige ondersteuning geeft. Het is misschien wel goed om te vermelden dat het voor minder mobiele mensen niet zo evident is om de woning te bereiken. Mijn echtgenoot heeft geluk gehad dat we hem telkens voor de deur van de woning konden afzetten en daarna de wagen parkeren op de parking wat verder. Anders was de steile helling een probleem geweest.

Het vakantiehuis ligt op een zeer goede locatie om Toscane te verkennen. Van daaruit hebben we Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Pisa, Lucca en de kust verkend. Het dichtbij gelegen stadje Volterra is een zeer mooie plaats om te kuieren, terrasjes te doen en met leuke restaurantjes en souvenirwinkeltjes. We werden ook zeer gastvrij ontvangen door vriendelijke en behulpzame huiseigenaar waar wij met al onze vragen terecht konden. Het huis is verzorgd en de tuin, zwembad zijn goed onderhouden. Spijtig genoeg hebben we van het zwembad niet veel kunnen genieten vanwege vele stekende insecten, zoals muggen en dazen. Maar dit heeft zeker onze prachtige zomervakantie niet kunnen bederven, integendeel. Het restaurantje in het dorpje zelf is ook zeker aan te bevelen!!!

Perfect holiday home in Toscani
The nicely renovated terrace house is located in the very small and very typical village of Orciatico. Facilities, furnishings and equipment are exactly as described in the internet; the kitchen is rather small, so don´t expect to be cooking for a large crowd (but who wants to do that during holidays anyway). W-Lan works just fine. The highlight is the shaded garden with the sunny pool area and beautiful view from the terrace above the pool. The landlord´s father lives next door, speaks English very well and is promptly available and very accomodating in case of questions or requests. The landlord himself runs an agriturismo just outside the village, i.e. professionalism in terms of house maintenance is guaranteed. He and his wife may even invite you to the weekly pizza event they organize for the guests of the agriturismo. Oh, and not to forget: the landlord makes his own wine which your´re welcome to taste. Only point of caution: As mentioned above, Orchiato is a very small village with one bar, one tiny little store with very limited opening hours and one restaurant. So you have to be ready to drive a couple of minutes to get to more "populated places" for food shopping and good restaurants (e.g. Volterra, which is 20-25 minutes away). In sum, we definitely recommend this old olivemill for a week´s holiday in Toscani.
