The room was very noisy from the traffic on pacific coast highway and I could hear loud tv noise coming from other rooms. I had to leave early to catch my flight this morning before checking out and there was no hot water in the hotel so I had a long day of travel without a shower. The sink had a sewer smell coming from it but the maintenance person came right away.

I had a very frightening experience unfortunately the night I stayed there, there was a police raid at 10pm on my floor and we couldn’t get out nor sleep for over 2h has there was a case of domestic violence on our floor.

Stayed for 4 nights. Room 310. The property clearly has differed maintenance. Our room was seriously neglected. Very dated decor and design. Everything needed updating. Room was on PCH and the street noise was awful. If all the rooms are like this one I’d never stay here again. Such a shame because the area is great but with so many options for hotels Sonder really needs to do better.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Sonder La Ensenada. It is conveniently located that is walkable to so many cute shops, restaurants and of course the beach! I loved their app that made check in so easy. They also gave really good recommendations for things to do. They have a front desk that is 24/7 if you need anything like extra towels or coffee. I like the refreshed minimalist design of the rooms. We had a small sugar ant situation after spilling the smallest of coffee on the counter that persisted our stay. The hotel is right on the PCH so you will hear traffic but they offer ear buds by your bed which is sweet. They don’t do daily room cleans which wasn’t a huge deal but we were there for four nights so i wish a cleaning service was included after so many nights. The hot tub was amazing and hot each time we went in. Overall, i would recommend if you are an easy going traveler.

The room was nice albeit basic. Good sized shower and bathroom but a funky smell coming from the pipes. Bed was very comfortable. The 4th floor landing had a great view bit there was a fair amount of construction materials around the property.

Great neighborhood with smallish restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance. Free trolly to other areas of laguna beach stops in front of the hotel. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful.

well...1st half was rough...checking was hard for us since front desk didn't tell us about or handicap space options. would have save A TON OF TIME AND PHYSICAL PAIN...then to boot NO WORKING HOT TUB or anything to soak in. which was expressed and noted with sonder months before checking in for 2 weeks. was not relaxing especially when fire alarm was pulled and was extreme loudness for over an hour at 130am! the establishment failed to provide fire department with an emergency shut off key so the whole hotel was awake. I documented more things to be noted if anyone cares to follow up and refund us. Staff was ultimately kind. Minus lack of maintenance workers. We appreciate mostly everything when hot tub did work.

I felt Sonder was trying to be unique with the room reservation , sign in, parking , codes to the room ect being all online and through the app but it wasn’t done well. So much so I was very uncomfortable going there as it was such a new way of making a reservation . The rooms were just ok. Photos make them look prettier . We couldn’t get room service unless requested 24 hrs in advance in which we did and no one still came to clean. To get extra toilet paper or towels there was a self serve area … just odd. Not to mention they expect you to remember a 6 digit code to access your room .. altogether it was VERY noisy with traffic and we wouldn’t go back. For the price we can have a hotel you can actually speak with , get human service and better feel of a room and space . For Cali and being in Orange County they can massively step up their game !

The convenience of the property location was excellent. The room was nice, but loud from street noise. The shower was very slippery and the faucet connection didn't work which made it difficult to rinse down. Ant problem! The bed was comfortable.
