"Quiet, countryside property. Lovely swimming pool. Comfortable, well equipped gite. Good to have some English TV channels as well as French. The only disadvantage was that the Wi-Fi signal was poor in the first few days and then totally non-existent in the next week. There was also no phone signal so could not use internet at all for most of the time. It was about an hour’s drive to several interesting small towns, chateaux and caves. Local lake was nice for picnics and walks."

"A beautiful location with spectacular views. A few additions like a tea towel, some hand soap in the bathroom would have been nice. We found it very difficult to find so a sign on the property could be helpful. Very friendly owner. "

"Stayed in the upstairs appartment which run the length of the building .Very well equipped with washing machine and a dish washer,a welcome surprise. The pool is in a secluded garden location. Negatives Our end bedroom had a strange en suite bathroom arrangement. A screen instead of a wall. A Jack n Jill sink taking up space that could have been used for a toilet and single sink. A bit odd!."

Unfortunately we were informed that the restaurant wasn’t open on Mondays and were directed to a nearby restaurant (La Caleche in Varetz). Sadly the offer was very different to what we were expecting as instead of a fine dining experience, we had to choose from the table d’hôte menu made of: - Steak Haché /Frites - Fish and chips - Galette...
