OVERVIEW
Charming south facing open plan ground floor apartment located in a quiet & peaceful residential area just outside the centre of Lagos but only a couple minutes by car to the historic town center, marina, beaches, supermarkets and restaurants or about 20-30 minutes if walking. Set in beautiful mature gardens with a lovely patio just a few steps away from the large swimming pool.

Ideal for those wanting to enjoy all that Lagos has to offer in the summer. Peaceful for long stays in the quieter winter months.

Perfect for families, friends, remote workers or couples sharing!

CLEANING & SANITISATION
The apartment will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitised before every check-in. Cleaning material and products will be available in the apartment for your convenience. Additional cleaning and change of sheets/towels will depend on length of stay.

APARTMENT
This is a large well kept apartment block with 2 bedrooms and two bathrooms. Master Bedroom has 1 standard size double bed. Bedroom 2 has 2 single beds. The apartment has a well equipped kitchen and a dining/living area. It is comfortably furnished and has all the necessary equipment for a holiday. Fast & reliable Fibre Optic internet throughout and cable TV international channels. The apartment is located in a mature and well maintained gated condominium of 24 privately owned apartments with beautiful landscaped gardens and private outdoor parking.

POPULAR FOR LONG STAYS IN WINTER
For self catering long stays (28 nights or more) from November to April. Utilities such as internet, gas and water is included in the rate. Electricity however, will be charged as used by the meter reading and paid for through the VRBO platform. Included in the rate is cleaning and change of sheets/covers and towels every two weeks. If you wish to have additional cleaning this can be organised and extra charges will apply. The long stay rates are for 2 guests.

MEET AND GREET
Either José or Carla will meet guests on arrival and give tips on how to make the most of their stay in Lagos. Thereafter guests will be given their privacy and space to enjoy their holiday but are only a call or text message away if they need any assistance or information.

GETTING AROUND
The apartment is minutes away by car from the beaches, town centre, marina, and supermarket, railway station & bus depot.
The apartment is approximately a 20-25 minute walk from the town centre and beaches. Downhill going into town and uphill going back to the apartment. If you're a walker then you could easily rent without a car if you wanted to just focus on experiencing and exploring Lagos. However, we recommend a car in order to explore the beautiful surrounding areas close to Lagos or further along the Algarve. For families with children, for hot summer months and those that don't like walking, we recommend car rental.

Lagos is easy to reach from Faro or Lisbon airport with direct bus routes.

ABOUT LAGOS
One of the most popular towns in the Algarve, Lagos is a top holiday destination and has it all! From history to culture, beaches and climate to a lively, easygoing and friendly atmosphere all year round. Steeped in history it was from here that Henry the navigator set sail on his discoveries along with many other Portuguese explorers.

A walk across the Marina footbridge will lead you into the heart of the old town where you will find a very quaint typical Portuguese town with narrow cobbled streets and many shops, bars and restaurants and entertainment. Here you can experience the raw authenticity of Portugal, the daily fish market, the local Tasca, the smell of grilled sardines and seafood toasting on the grill, tiled houses, the clear blue skies and the warm hospitable people.

There are many places of interest to visit such as museums, churches, historical monuments and a mini-zoo for the children. Activities are endless in and around Lagos and include boat trips, dolphin tours, fishing, surfing, diving, kayaking, golf and much more. Lagos is also very popular for hiking and walking trips.

CLIMATE
The Algarve, situated on the extreme South of Portugal, offers gorgeous sandy beaches and glorious sunshine nearly all year-round. With around 300 days of sunshine a year and idyllic temperatures averaging 14ºC in winter and 25ºC in summer - and rarely going below 10ºC during winter and reaching as high as 28ºC or 30ºC in July and August.

We had a lovely stay in Lagos with very helpful and friendly owners. They even picked us up as we tried walking up the hill. A nice quiet location away from the noise of downtown yet close enough to enjoy the city! Loved the use of the complex pool! Highly recommend.

Spacious main floor apartment with wonderful pool!!!
My family, consisting of myself, wife, and 15 year old son had a great 2 week stay in this Albardeira apartment. It is very roomy with a walk-out patio only a few steps away from the condominium pool. Carla and Jose met us for the check-in process and gave us the run down of the property and also a lot of useful tips for the area such as the nearby Pingo Doce for prepared foods and groceries, some great local restaurants, and where to find free convenient parking from where we could easily walk to most of Lagos. Our only suggestion for the property would be to update the master bed as we found it small and uncomfortable for 2 people and after 3 nights we switched rooms with our son who enjoyed it while my wife and I found the single beds in the second bedroom much more comfortable. Carla and Jose were very welcoming and prompt with any questions or issues we had during the stay. About halfway thru they had the linens and towels refreshed for us which was very much appreciated! We suspect there were quite a few other apartments in the complex which are also short-term rentals, as we often saw visitors with bags coming and going, but everyone was very respectful of space and noise. There were absolutely no issues at all with comfort. Overall, we really enjoyed this well equipped property with the pool being the highlight to help beat the August Algarve heat!

The property was wonderful. Peaceful and quiet when we were on site but close enough to everything when we wanted it. Jose met us and gave us a tour and all kinds of helpful information to make our stay enjoyable and then turned the place over to us. The property was beautifully furnished and stocked with things to make the stay enjoyable. We would definitely return and use it again.!

We stayed here for 7 weeks and loved it. Location is an easy 15-20 minute walk to the beach or the marina or the old town. There is a very good little bar/restaurant basically next door and a great grocery store called Pingo Doce within walkable distance. Uber anywhere for 4 to 6 Euros. Carla and Jose were amazing hosts and very very helpful. Responded quickly to any queries and are both lovely. Everything you need is in the apartment. Kitchen is excellent. Would definitely stay again.

We had a great time at Carla and Jose’s apartment The apartment is spacious and well equipped Location wise it is 15 mins walk to Lagos town which we managed with 2 children We didn’t have a car so walked and used Ubers and taxis when we needed to. The pool is a good temperature and always plenty of sun beds The only thing that would’ve been helpful would be a decent nearby shop for essentials. Our children loved Praia Dona Ana and it is well worth the extra journey. Also the fish restaurant Tasca La Gota was amazing and very reasonable All in all a lovely, relaxing holiday Thanks Carla and Jose

Great spacious apartment with everything we needed!
Really enjoyed staying in Carla & Jose's apartment. Ground floor with a sun room at the back opening out onto a patio with sun loungers. Just a few steps to a lovely big pool which was very quiet and easily big enough for a decent swim. Lots of sun loungers around the pool. We did have a little trouble locating the apartment as it's just tucked in off the road. However, we were just a minute further on from it and Jose easily found us! Thanks Jose! The apartment had everything we needed in the kitchen, towels, toolbox, sun parasol etc. Being early May, it was a bit chilly inside at night but there were plenty of blankets which we used and also electric radiators which we didn't need. Carla & Jose were lovely to deal with and checked in with us halfway through our stay to see if all was well. Excellent wi-fi and Netflix was an added bonus😄 The apartment is around 15-20mins walk from the marina and town centre and an amazing sandy beach which suited us as we like to walk. Pingo Doce supermarket is just down at the bottom of the hill which was perfect. We ate out and cooked in and had/found everything we needed. Can recommend an amazing Indian restaurant in Lagos called 7Hills.

Spacious, comfortable apartment in lovely grounds.
We stayed for 9 days in the apartment. Excellent communication from Jose and Carla from start to finish, with great recommendations and advice. The apartment was very comfortable and clean. The swimming pool was excellent and the grounds very well maintained. Although it was possible to walk into Lagos where there is plenty to see and do, the walk back is uphill and we were glad we hired a car and managed to visit other places. Lagos and the surrounding area is beautiful and there were plenty of good restaurants. We had a lovely holiday and hope to return.

As we were playing golf we required a ground floor apartment. This apartment suited us beyond expectations as it was lovely to just be able to walk out into the gardens and sit in the sunshine. The apartment was close to the car park so it was with very little effort that we could pack the car to go off and play our golf. The apartment was only a 20 minute walk to the Marina and then a little further into Lagos itself. We thoroughly enjoyed our 11 week stay.

The apartment was comfortable and in a good position being on the ground floor and not far from the very good swimming pool. Although we don’t do much cooking apart from breakfast a few times the kitchen was well equipped .Some of the electric points are not fixed securely to the wall. However we would have expected mosquito machines to be a standard item in each room. Location: a pleasant quiet area.with lovely gardens.However it is very difficult to find using the post code given as the sat nav would not accept the address.Even a tour guide who came to pick us up could not locate the property using the address. Being senior citizens with slight walking problems it was too far for us to walk into town so always had to drive or use a taxi. Only one small bar/ cafe nearby which wasn’t always open. The sun beds and umbrella have seen much better days and new ones would improve the appearance of the patio and the comfort of guests. Getting the temperature regulated in the shower was impossible . The shower in the bath was slightly better to regulate but still not easy and the hot water was very hot so it could be a danger.Again being seniors we are very careful getting in and out of the bath but the floor was a bit slippery. Maid service:As there was no maid service this was disappointing.We feel that during a stay of 7 days there should be at least 1 service;10 day stay (as we did) we would have expected the service at least twice and for 14 days 3 times. Communication with Carla and Jose was very good.We had to report that the kettle had blown and it was replaced very promptly. We hope these points will help and overall we had an enjoyable time.

A lovely apartment that is welcoming and feels like a home.
This was a lovely apartment to stay in. The layout is perfect and has a very relaxed feel. Very clean and comfortable all around, beds, living area, kitchen, two baths, and a beautiful sun room. We stayed here for a little over a week. When we arrived Jose advised that we needed a car and that is accurate. I had read one review that said you could walk to the center; however, part of the road is narrow without a sidewalk. Very convenient to a wonderful grocery store. If you are looking for a very comfortable location to explore Lagos and area, this is an ideal location. Jose met us at the bus station and we were greeted with a bottle of wine and orange juice for the morning. Lagos provides access to the Western Algarve. We recommend the Millennium Restaurant close to the Save Market Museum in Lagos, a boat ride from the fortress to see the exotic sea rock formations and grottos, vists to the beaches at Luz and Salema, and diner at one of the seaside restaurants in Alvor.

Lovely, relaxing villa
We are 4 friends who had a wonderful time in Carla and Jose's villa. The apartment had everything we needed and was very spacious with two bathrooms which was perfect. The villa was quiet and we were the only ones using the sun loungers by the pool the whole time. Whilst it says a car is preferable we were fine just walking around. It's a short walk to the train station, closest supermarket and marina. The beaches and town are a little bit further but still within walking distance and even a taxi back from town was only about €5 The area is stunning with great restaurants that suit all dietary requirements. Jose gave us lots of local information upon our arrival which was very helpful. If I come back to lagos I would definitely stay here again

Lovely & quiet relaxing stay
Had a lovely two weeks spent in the pool with walks in to Lagos and down to Meia Praia. Carla and Jose are very welcoming and we had no problems communicating during booking or during our stay. The apartment complex seemed quiet when we were there, we could always get a bed by the pool and often had the pool to ourselves. There was plenty of room in the apartment for the three of us and we found it had everything we needed. Had a great time, sad to leave.

Nice holiday apartment in good location
The apartment is located in a facility of 24 apartments which are in a quite area but closed to the beaches, Lagos Centre and to a nice supermarket. The facility is in a very good condition and has a big pool and another small pool for smaller children. The holiday apartment has two bathrooms, a well equipped kitchen, two sleeping rooms and a living room. In front of the living room is a terrace which can be used for eating. The owners are very friendly and can give helpful information to restaurants, beaches and other things around Algarve. Only the double bed was a little bit to slim for us. Standard bed dimensions would be more convenient. However, the apartment is a clear recommendation for relaxing holidays at a beautiful place.

Great pool and Garden area...but
Carla and Jose guided us by phone to the apartment as there were lots of road works on the N 125. They gave us good general advise regarding the area and eating places in Lagos and the marina area. The garden and pool areas are beautiful and so peaceful. I found you need a car to get around as there is rather a large hill to climb on your return from the town etc. The apartment was deceptively large but every internal door tended to stick and my wife got stuck in the bathroom 2 or 3 times. The beds were extremely hard to sleep on and we had some really uncomfortable nights. Lovely couple and to be fair Jose said he was not aware of the internal door problems and would get them looked at but overall the apartment is said to be "traditional" but in reality could do with an upgrade.

Close to everything ...yet far enough out of the centre for peace and quiet
We were three senior ladies andCarla and Jose apartment was perfect for our needs . It was extremely clean and well stocked . ( The welcome bottle of wine was most appreciated ,!!) it's much larger than it looked on the web site. Jose was there to great us , and gave us many tips on we're to shop and some great restaurants to eat . . The gardener Jose was also very helpful and spoke exceptional English . We had a super time , I know most people think you need a car ,but we walked everywhere. We also used the bus and the train .. We took the bus to Burgau and then walked along the cliffs to Luz . The views were breathtaking and the spring flowers , wild thyme ,rosemary and lavender .took our breath away. On another day we walked from Lagos to Luz along the cliffs . Again we were left speechless at the beauty . We then took the bus back to Lagos. I had the most incredible duck dinner at a restaurant called Forja . There were 5 of us and we had 2 1/2 portions and there was food left over . (8.95 € ) a portion. It is a speciality on Sunday's for lunch and they fill up fast ,so come early ., they are closed for a few months in winter and had just opened again in mid March when we were there . I would highly recommend Carla and Jose's apartment to anyone for a long term stay in beautiful Lagos
