Worst VRBO
While this is a good location, the property and manager were incredibly disappointing. When we arrived, the lockbox was not labeled with the code given by the manager. Eventually, we found it, but the key was NOT in the lockbox. The manager did not answer his phone. Someone else who had a property found the key for us. There was NO wifi. We tried several times to contact the manager, but he never fixed this. The water went out the first day, so we could not take a shower. The property said it sleeps four. It only has two single beds and a dirty couch. The hallways are black and dark. If we had come in the evening, we would never have been able to find our key or apartment. There is a parking lot, but the manager did not give us the code for accessing it.

Il soggiorno è cominciato male, tre messaggi per il check in con indicazioni discordanti. La cosa ha creato confusione, i messaggi indicavano numeri di appartamenti diversi. Entrando nell'appartamento siamo stati colpiti dal cattivo odore, dalla scarsa pulizia e dal fatto che ci fosse solo un letto e un divano. La descrizione però parla di 4 posti letto. Abbiamo dunque chiamato il proprietario pensando a un errore. L'affittuario ha invece confermato che l'appartamento era giusto e che se non era di nostro gradimento avremmo dovuto disdire la prenotazione e lui ci avrebbe ridato i soldi. Con molto disappunto e preoccupazione ci siamo dunque rivolti all'assistenza VRBO e solo grazie alla loro mediazione siamo riusciti ad ottenere che ci venisse mandata la donna delle pulizie, che ci ha portato le lenzuola per il divano letto (che mancavano) e con la quale ci siamo accordati per una pulizia più accurata. Tralascio altri comportamenti fastidiosi da parte del proprietario per farla breve. Aggiungo che le parti comuni sono trascurate, la splendida vista sul mare è rovinata da una piscina abbandonata usata parzialmente come discarica e per non farsi mancare nulla il parapetto del balcone nella parte centrale è alto 50 cm (non credo proprio sia a norma di legge). Il cancello del parcheggio dopo una certa ora rimane chiuso e occorre chiamare un numero per aprire, ovviamente questo numero non ci è stato fornito se non dopo nostra sollecitazione, ma indovina? non funzionava...

Appartement verkeerde in slechtrstaat wc liep door,knop van de kraan viel er steeds af, lekkende afvoer keuken, handgrepen braken af( verteert). Lade geleiders kapot schimmel douche gordijn , regelmatig WiFi uit val, airco slaap kamer defect, gordijnen met gaten in slaapkamer. Dit alles heeft een stevige renovatie nodig. Lokatie was uitstekend!

Tolle Lage, aber nicht alles kann mit der Lage mithalten
Mir waren 2 Dinge wichtig: Einzug ins Objekt bereits um 12 Uhr und WLAN, da ich den 2. Tag vom Ferienort aus arbeiten musste. Ersteres klärte ich mit dem Vermieter ("kein Problem"), letzteres steht in der Beschreibung. Die Schlüsselbox war leer, Vermieter angerufen, ist in einer halben Stunde da. Um es kurz zu machen: der Vermieter hat sehr freundliche Nachbarn, die mir angesichts meiner offensichtlichen prekären Lage in den nächsten Stunden erst einen Kaffee gebracht haben, dann ein Eis und zuletzt, als es Richtung Sonnenuntergang ging, ein Bier. Meine geplanten Erholungsstunden auf der Mauer wartend zugebracht. Punkt 2, das WLAN: gibt es am Empfang, aber nicht in der Wohnung. Das ist nicht das gleiche. Der Vermieter sprach, er käme in einer halben Stunde mit WLAN. Diese halbe Stunde dauerte bis zum nächsten Mittag, und dann war das Passwort unbekannt und nicht mehr auf dem Gerät identifizierbar. Im Laufe des Nachmittags lief mein Handydatenvertrag auf 0 und ich musste in ein Café in der Nähe umziehen. Sauberkeit: für mich OK, aber wenn meine Frau dabei gewesen wäre, dann hätte ich wahrscheinlich noch sofort eine neue Unterkunft suchen müssen. Es war nicht schmutzig, aber definitiv die am wenigsten saubere Unterkunft, die ich je online gebucht habe. Vielleicht war es dann auch die Eile, mit der durchgeputzt wurde, und die Tatsache, dass offenbar die Putzfrau ausgefallen war, die zu dem nicht perfekten Ergebnis führten. Die Wohnung an sich ist OK, Küche habe ich nicht genutzt, das Bad ist etwas älter, aber es gibt genug heißes Wasser für eine ausgiebige Dusche. Die Lage ist fantastisch: ein paar Schritte nach unten, und man steht am Strand mit Strandbar; das hätte ich gerne statt Mauersitzen gemacht. Keine 5 Minuten den Berg herauf, und schon hat man zwei Restaurants und einige Cafés. Helders Restaurant bietet wirklich exquisites Essen und zuvorkommenden Service. Und die netten britischen Nachbarn nicht zu vergessen, die sich so nett um mich gekümmert haben. Wer also erst abends in die Wohnung möchte und kein WLAN braucht, der wird dort eine schöne Zeit haben!
