Farmhouse with garden near Richelieu

This former farmhouse in the village of Bruères has been very tastefully renovated and transformed into a lovely holiday home for a family stay. The authentic details have been kept while bringing modern comfort. There is a beautiful interior garden (completely enclosed, perfect for your pet), enjoy a glass of local wine on the terrace. On the covered terrace at the back, you will enjoy the view of the hilly meadows.

The fortified town of Chinon (21km) is surrounded by vineyards and many estates invite you to tastings. You must not miss the splendidly preserved Fontevraud Abbey (37km). The impressive castles in Azay-le-Rideau (28km), La Roche-du-Maine (20km) and Le Rivau (11km) are also worth visiting. You are close to all shops and many activities (cycle paths, hiking trails, horseback riding, canoeing).

On the small desk at the entrance, there is a file with telephone numbers for emergency services and medical services, wifi code. You will also find an ironing board and an iron.

Sehr schönes, renoviertes Bauernhaus mit gutem Standard. Sehr ruhig. Kleine Wälder sind zu Fuß erreichbar und eignen sich hervorragend zum Gassigehen mit dem Hund. Habe leider kein Spiel gesehen. Nicht weit von wunderschönen Schlössern, Dörfern und Weinbergen entfernt. Wir hatten Pech mit dem Wetter, aber das hat unseren Urlaub nicht getrübt. Supermarkt ca. 6 Minuten entfernt. Einer unserer Lieblingsaufenthalte in Frankreich.

Wenn Sie eine ruhige Lage in der Nähe von Annehmlichkeiten und ein komfortables Haus mögen, ist dies möglicherweise genau das Richtige für Sie. Ihr Hund (und Sie selbst) werden es lieben. Kein übermäßiger Luxus, aber alles, was Sie brauchen, zu einem guten Standard. Das Sofa könnte bequemer sein, aber alles andere war großartig. Und die Gegend hat im Umkreis von 30 Minuten viel zu bieten.

Peaceful location
We had a great stay at La Tour Saint Gelin. The gite is ideally situated and is a great base to go and explore the many attractions in the area. We had a great time playing the monument game in Chinon castle ; we also visited the stables of the Cadre Noir in Saumur, the Bioparc in Doue-la-Fontaine and the public gardens in Richelieu. The gite is situated in a peaceful hamlet, overlooking fields and the area is a great spot for birdwatchers (little owls, hoopoes, Montagu's harrier, great grey shrikes, zitting cisticola, ...). The owners, Dominique and Lydia, were very helpful and friendly and the whole family had a lovely holiday.

Dit vakantiehuis is een echte aanrader voor de liefhebbers van rust, privacy en prachtige natuur. Het huis ligt in een rustig straatje met een super mooi uitzicht op de bossen, wei landschappen en verzorgde tuin. Er zijn twee strategisch goed geplaatste terrassen. Eentje op de koer is ideaal voor het ontbijt, het andere om te zonnen na de middag en heerlijk ´s avonds te dineren of een glaasje te drinken bij zonsondergang. Voor de honden is het zeker en vast een aanrader, het koertje is volledig afgesloten. De tuin zelf is gedeeltelijk omheind maar je hebt voldoende de mogelijkheid om ze ergens aan vast te binden met een lange lijn. Je kan er meteen wandelen in het bos achter het huis en de mooie wijngaarden en talrijke hertjes. Het huis is prachtig gerenoveerd met oog voor detail en gezellige inrichting. Mooie badkamer, keuken en slaapkamers. Heel netjes bij aankomst en super vriendelijke ontvangst van de eigenaar met leuke attentie bij aankomst. Zeker te bezichtigen is l’île-Bouchard (mooie rivier met wandelpad en picknick mogelijkheden, supermarkt, tankstation,…alles is aanwezig) Wij komen graag terug!

Charmant huis in een zeer rustige omgeving. Je loopt zo vanuit huis de natuur en het bos in, waar veel wild te zien is. Reeën, hazen, vossen en uilen gezien ! Wijn bij de boer kopen, kasteel bekijken en middeleeuwse stadjes zijn dichtbij. Leuke ontvangst , met koekjes en verse eitjes, aardige eigenaar die alles doet voor een prettig verblijf! De omheinde binnentuin is ideaal voor kinderen en dieren.

Wunderbare Gegend für Schlossfans
Innerhalb kurzer Fahrzeit gibt es viele wunderschöne Schlösser zu besichtigen. Das Ferienhaus ist sehr gepflegt und praktisch eingerichtet. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und eingeführt. Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig. Wer es gerne abgelegen hat ist hier bestens aufgehoben. Wir können dieses Haus nur empfehlen.

Heel rustig gelegen vakantiehuis. Eigenlijk voor ons een wat onverwacht grote meevaller geworden, door het Covid-19 gebeuren in 2020 zijn onze reizen naar het zuiden van Europa geannuleerd, en last minute toch nog dit vakantiehuis wat dichterbij vastgelegd voor een weekje. Vriendelijke ontvangst, het huisje netjes aangetroffen, zeer compleet voorzien, zeer rustig gelegen in een verrassend mooie regio. Wifi binnenshuis is top, maar door de dikte van de muren, bijna 1 mt, slecht tot geen ontvangst op het terras en ook enkel een heel flauwe 3G verbinding. Maar dit kon de pret zeker niet drukken, gewoon een dik aan te raden huisje voor wie deze streek eens wil verkennen. Groetjes, Frank en Martine.

Agréable séjour en Touraine
Maison idéalement située pour visiter les châteaux de Saumur à Chenonceau. Maison très agréable décorée avec goût dans l'esprit de Noël, un feu de cheminée était prêt à notre arrivée ainsi qu'un vin de la région, gâteaux et confiture maison (excellente). Propriétaire très sympathique qui met tout en oeuvre pour que l'on se sente comme à la maison. Literie et linge de toilette de qualité. Nous recommandons cette location.
