Welcome to Barranca Oeste 27. Recently renovated, this classic Dominican estate boasts huge panoramic ocean views and is built high on a ridge to take advantage of the fresh south easterly breeze. The space includes 8 spacious and incredibly well appointed bedrooms with private full bath and smart TV, a gorgeous open concept kitchen, and a garden, pool, and gazebo that will become your own private oasis.
The villa comes fully staffed with a house keeper, cook, and gardener.
The villa includes ample parking. Additionally, The villa also includes the option to rent 3 premium electric golf carts (two 6-seaters and a 4-seater) meticulously maintained and purchased in 2023 and 2024. We offer the 6-seat carts for $80 per night during low season (Monday after Easter - Wednesday before Thanksgiving) and $90 per night during the rest of the year. The 4-seat cart rents for $60 per night during low season and $70 per night during the rest of the year. This is a substantial discount from our closest competitor, Eco Planeta Caribe (you can check out their inventory and prices online), who currently charge $110 and $80 for the same carts plus 18% sales tax during low season. If you happen to see a lower price for your stay, let me know and I will price match. We rent our carts instead of including them in the villa price in order to bifurcate business operations and liability. Note that while you may be able to find slightly cheaper golf cart rental options, all carts are DEFINITELY not the same. Many vendors rent old carts that are unreliable and travel at half the speed.
There is a 9th king bedroom apartment available on the second floor of the back casita for an additional cost. The apartment includes a king bedroom with walk-in closet and en-suite bathroom, living room with two twin beds, kitchenette with dinning table, and private balcony with ocean view. Please inquire for details. The maximum capacity of the villa is 16 without apartment or 20 with apartment.
Below are a few house and resort details to help familiarize yourself with the property and Casa de Campo. I have a PDF with information about resort amenities, restaurants, additional services, etc. that I can share via email once the booking is complete:
General Villa Information:
The villa comes with a property manager that can help communicate with staff and resolve any issues might have during your stay. His name and contact information will be shared after booking is complete.
The villa address is Barranca Oeste 27. There is a semi-circle driveway with two carports where you can park any vehicles. Electric golf carts should be parked in the two carports as that is where the electrical outlet is located.
My property manager or staff will great you upon your arrival. Casa de Campo is an incredibly safe place. It is not necessary to lock the doors when you step out, but you certainly can.
The house comes with a full-time staff including a cook, cleaner, and gardener. The cook speaks a little English, and our house manager can help with anything you might need. The staff works from 7:30 am – 3:30 pm daily and will clean all rooms, do laundry, and prepare breakfast and lunch if you wish. It is recommended that you tip the cook and cleaner $20-$30 / day each depending on the size of your group and the amount of cooking and cleaning being done. The chef and cleaner are available to stay late to prepare dinner for an additional cost payable directly to them (inquire for details).
The hot water in the villa takes a minute to heat up. When running the faucet or shower, just be patient.
All bedrooms are cooled by mini-split AC units. These differ from central cooling units in the US and other countries in that they only take a few minutes to cool down the room. Please turn the units off when you leave your room during the day. If the units are left on by mistake, the house staff is trained to turn them off while they are cleaning the house.
General Resort Information:
Before your arrival, please send me a passport photo for all guests in your party as well as a photo of the identification for your taxi driver and vehicle plate number (unless you choose to use my recommended driver, Jesus – details in guidebook). This information is required to arrange resort access. If you choose to leave the resort for an excursion during your stay, make sure to bring your passport with you as it is required for re-entry.
Upon arrival at the resort, you will be required to register at the reception at the front gate. I will pre-register your party with the passport info you sent me and will forward you the email that provides your access confirmation. Upon registering, the resort does charge a daily resort fee that will give you access to all hotel facilities except for the fitness center:
• Adults over 12 years old: US$ 25 per person per night
• Kids from 4-12 years old: US$ 12 per person per night
• Kids below 4 years old: FREE
If you are planning to play golf, I recommend contacting Casa de Campo ahead of time to inquire about golf packages, tee times, and pricing.
General Information:
I recommend visiting an ATM at the hotel lobby or the marina to get some pesos. While you can pay in USD at most places, it is convenient to has some local currency, especially for tipping. It is a cashed based economy for any additional services you pay for (e.g., golf caddies, massage, driver, etc.). Also, tipping for basic things like luggage help at the airport, help getting groceries to the car, setting up lounge chairs at the beach, etc. is appreciated but 100-200 pesos is the standard denomination ($2-$4 USD).
