"I checked this morning, and the property is still shown as being in Vaison La Romaine, still claims to be a short walk from the sights of Vaison, and the map show this to be the case. However, this is a total LIE. The house is in Saint Maurice sur Eygues, which is more than 15mins from Vaision by Car. The owner was quick to offer us 100 euros (so he obviously knew) but this didn't cover the cost of us staying in Vaison for two nights to spend time with the friends we were supposed to meet there. The owner blamed the translation, but whilst the french sight does mention the true location, the rest of the lies remain. VRBO should do something about this dishonesty"

"The property was clean and tidy, with a lovely outdoor terrace. The pool was a welcome relief from the scorching temperatures, and after a hot day sightseeing it was lovely to take a refreshing dip. The gite is located an easy 10 minute amble into Vaison - a bustling market town with all the facilities one could need. There are some quirks - there is only one loo, which is downstairs whilst the shower room is upstairs. There is also no wash hand basin in the loo. Also, the VRBO listing states that housekeeping is included - this is incorrect, and there is a charge of 50€. Additionally there is no mention in the listing that towels and linen are not provided - they are available to rent, which was fortunate because we were already south of Lyon when we were notified of this! Quirks aside, we had a lovely week's stay and can heartily recommend staying here."
