"I came to Cuba with low expectations due to the country's well known economic and infrastructure problems. The entire staff at Alhabana exceeded my wildest dreams. Every team member went above and beyond to make sure that our group of 6 people were well taken care of. They answered all of our questions, arranged tours and taxi rides, gave excellent restaurant recommendations, cleaned our rooms perfectly and prepared great breakfast foods. The Alhabana also has generator power to mitigate the effects of the scheduled daily power outages. The only minor issue is that the water pressure and temperature can be lacking at times. For people with a full head of hair (not me) it could be challenging. However, if it were a problem, I have no doubt that the staff could solve it for you. The surrounding neighborhood, like every other neighborhood in Havana, is noisy and dirty. There's absolutely nothing that Alhabana can do about it. The location is perfect. You can walk a couple of miles, or take a taxi, in any direction to see a huge amount of what Havana has to offer. I would not hesitate to stay here again. "

"Lola house is nestled in a nicely renovated, clean, neat stone building with beautiful balconies opening to tropical trees on a hidden side street in the middle of the city close to the University of Havana. The antique furnitures inside the apartment and handwork tiles and all the decorations within the casa were exceptional and beautiful. We also received the nicest service we ever got in our Cuba experience, perhaps the best one could ever get in a boutique service. Alina, our floor’s host was super warm and nice, and had the brightest smile! She welcomed us with the traditional fresh fruit juice as refreshment upon our arrival and explained the details as we checked in. Everything in the apartment was super clean and it honestly felt like home! The bathroom was smartly designed, and the sink was colorful and unique. The breakfast was also something one should not miss, especially on that beautiful table facing tropical trees. The fruit plate, the bold aromatic coffee and nicely done eggs with toast were all with quality and modesty. I guess, we were so lucky because it was almost as if the floor was all ours, and we enjoyed our time there even if it was short. We were unlucky to stay there only one night, however, it was an amazing experience for us, and if we were to go back, we will definitely stay there on our next Havana trip."
