Excellent prpperty great place to stay
Property was excellent and El Cottilio is a nice place The only downside for me was the restaurants every one sells much the same menu not a lot of variety But the apartment was 10 out of 10

Great apartment
The apartment was clean and tidy had all you needed for self catering. Wifi good large TV Netflix & prime video don’t forget your login details. To be honest we spent most of our time on the roof terrace which has sun and shade all day. Thank you Margarita we enjoyed our stay.

relax and unwind
If you enjoy peace and quiet, delicious food, reading and relaxation then El Cotillo is the place for you. This small village does not have the obvious charm and prettiness of many other European destinations such as the Greek islands and could easily be overlooked. However, stay a little while and absorb the sunshine on the lagoon beaches that stretch for miles and you will most likely be hooked. As people who like to see different places my husband and I first visited El Cotillo in September 2012. We liked it so much that since then we have visited 4 times in the past year. This is the 3rd apartment that we have rented through Owners direct. The apartment is new, modern, clean, tastefully decorated and the double bed is very comfortable. The upstairs terrace is a great feature and a lovely place watch the sun go down over a glass of wine. The booking process was relatively easy with the owner getting back to me very promptly with bank details to pay the deposit. Please beware that as the owner lives in Spain you will incur bank charges to make an international transaction online. If you pay the deposit and then later make the final payment, you will incur these charges twice. The cost to make the payment was ?20, but this will depend upon your bank and how quickly you want to transfer the money. Given the newness of the property there are a number of things that could be improved to make your stay more comfortable. Firstly, we had been given no directions as to how to find the property. I had a good idea from the photographs of where I thought it was, but arriving late after a delayed flight made things a little difficult. Not all local people speak English and even the owner of the bar in the next street was unsure of the address! We would have welcomed some basic essential items such as a bottle of water and milk to at least be able to make a cup of tea after such a long day of travelling. Similarly there was no salt, pepper, tea bags, cooking oil or basic items provided. Also missing from the property was a kettle, so we spent the whole week boiling water in a pan. There was a limited number of cooking knives and only one of them was sharp enough to use for cooking. I did e mail the owner after our trip and she was grateful for the feedback and said she would rectify this. We had a broken shower too which the owner's brother in law who lives downstairs was able to fix for us. All in all, I would recommend this apartment.

Excellent apartment
If you don’t have a car this is the place for you, bus station close by 2 supermarkets just 5 minutes walk away restaurants 5 to 10 minutes walk. You can see the sea from the roof terrace which is just at the end of the road. If you do have a car there is plenty of parking just outside the door. This is the second time we have stayed at this property and if we return would try to book Margaritas apartment again.

Schöne Ferienwohnung, ganz in der Nähe vom Meer. Etwas schade war, dass wir für 14 Tage lediglich ein Dusch- und Handtuch pro Person hatten. Auch nur ein Geschirrtuch. Leider kein direkter Blick zum Meer.

Fantastic apartment
This is a fabulous property with all you need and central to all amenities whilst totally peaceful and secure. Views to the mountains and the sea where you can watch the amazing sunsets. This is our 3rd visit and Margarita is an excellent host Slight problem with the microwave and it was replaced immediately after contacting Margarita. Very good service Can't wait to go back ❤️❤️

Super Kontakt mit der Vermieterin, die sehr engagiert ist. Wohnung ist sehr schön und sauber und gut eingerichtet. Die eigene große Terrasse ist super. Super Aufenthalt. Ein Mietwagen ist aber zu empfehlen. Auch der Strand von El Cotillo ist einige Minuten zu Fuß entfernt vom Ort.

fantastic apartment, beautiful views
to start we love El Cotillo and this was our 4th stay out of our 8th visit to the island, and with all due respect to previous stays in Cotillo this is by far our favourite apartment to date. the apartment is ideally situated within the new harbour area of the town with easy access to the old harbour area and surrounding beaches. the apartment is above average for self catering and well furnished, with good quality finishes. everything you need is available and comfortable, especially the beds!! we initially booked for just two, but our friends joined us for the last two nights of our stay before we headed of to another part of the island. this wasn't a problem with Margarita who kindly accommodated us. the apartment easily accommodated all of us lastly the fabulous upstairs balcony is the best with fantastic views of the mountains and the old harbour, perfect for the beautiful sunsets -- would definitely stay here again and thank you again Margarita for all your help during the booking process. Fabulous!!

Margarita was a very helpful and accommodating property owner, even during the holiday she offered us a later leaving time, as no-one was following us in immediately, this proved very helpful as we had a late flight. Bad weather in a house built for sun
The apartment is all new and pleasantly decorated, Our 11nights stay were ruined by really bad weather with rain nearly every day and below expected temps by day and night. Our first nights sleep was impossible due to the cold, so the next day we purchased a huge blanket to wrap around us on the sofa and the bed, the Chinese shop is excellent as they always are to buy the additional things needed to facilitate ease of living. Be aware this is not a serviced apartment, there were no cleaning products or fresh bedding and towels left for us to change, yes there is a washing machine but to wash and replace the bedding in one day in such unsettled weather was impossible. If you select this apartment in the more settled months You will have made a good choice, the terrace is great and has a nice settee under cover. The roof drain pours onto the patio with mud and grit so we had to sweep and mop daily but it had a good view and when the sun came through was great. Margarita the owner was very helpful when contacted. Our car was parked outside the apartment but the road is unfinished so it was drenched in mud constantly, we ended up parking in the next road outside the bus station which solved the problem, however the bus station is quite busy and the busses leave their noisy engines running. We would stay again but not in February.
