"Our five night stay in this beautiful chateau was a delight. It is set in lovely countryside and is very quiet and peaceful. It is an excellent base for exploring northern Normandy. We drove to Mont St.Michel, Bayeux etc from here. You really do need a vehicle to get around. A few restaurants are 10 mins or so away in the local village. A delightful breakfast was provided by our host Cecilia who was so welcoming, informative and patient with my efforts to speak French. Breakfast consisted of...

They have restored everyrhing themsleves - balancing the history of a place built in the late 1790s without making the property too modern or old feeling. Jumbo the dog is a bonis! "A lovely place to stay. Very handy 30 minute safe and pleasant walk into Bayeux. A lovely town with history all around you. A must is to go and see the Bayeux tapestry. Nellie and Christophe are lovely people and so helpful, they can’t do enough for you. My wife and I would most definectly advise to stay here, also a big plus your car here and private parking is very good."

The room was comfortable and we enjoyed a generous breakfast of eggs, breads, jams, cheeses, meats, yogurt, and fruits while chatting with other jovial guests, our delightful hostess Isabelle, and the two sweet kitties of the house. This was a wonderful location to relax and unwind after a long day of exploring. The location was perfect for us. "El lugar tranquilo y cercano a las playas de Normandía, pero al llegar llamo al telefono de contacto y solo en Frances, nada de ingles, nos instalamos y al cabo de una hora, nos mandan mensaje ya en inglés, diciendo que no tenemos reserva, que no podemos volver a entrar. Según dicen nuestra reserva no llegó a su sistema pero hoteles si la tenía activa y cobrada. al final nos dieron una habitación nueva pero sin terminar para pasar la noche. como digo mucho ojo, un caos."
