"Juan was an amazing host and made sure everything was perfect for our stay. We had an fabulous 2 weeks and the location is quiet and remote. Ideal if you are looking for peace and quiet not so if you looking for hustle and bustle. The Finca is well equiped and very well furnished. The wood burning hot tub was a very nice touch. Definitely coming back here if we head back to Tenerife."

"Spent a week at La Chirita for a bird-watching holiday as a couple in our early 60's. The cottage is on the rustic side, but contains everything that you need for a comfortable self-catering holiday. The jewel in the crown is the location amongst the trees, in the foothills of the pinebelt, with a large, private, wild 'garden' full of native plants/flowers, and birds - canaries dominate, but there are also flyby's of both local pigeons, amongst other endemics. "This is a very well cared for villa in a great spot just outside La Orotava. It is located in a beautiful garden, very secluded and quiet. The villa is well equipped and comfortable. The pool is a good size for swimming. The hosts are extremely helpful and friendly. We would recommend this villa to anyone!"

"If you want a quiet stay in the mountains, in a beautifully restored old house, then this is for you. I loved this place, especially once I got the fire going and a good meal with wine. "If you're looking for a place to recharge your batteries this is it. Took a bit of finding (keep going to end of the road when you turn onto Camino del Chamizo) and the roads are very steep, but was worth the effort. The house is well equipped and spacious. The views from the outside area are spectacular. Would definitely recommend a stay here and we will hopefully be back."

"La comunicación con José fue muy buena desde el principio. Él fue muy antento a nuestra llegada y siempre contestando nuestras inquietudes. La habitación muy limpia y el baño también. La locación es perfecta para descansar y sentir la tranquilidad de la isla. El único punto, en la página de FeWo dice que la propiedad cuenta con Shampoo y jabón, pero no es así. Tampoco hay un Jacuzzi, como está escrito en FeWo. Pd: Para llegar a la propiedad, hay que subir calles muy empinadas."

"The property was perfect in every way. Unfortunately the satnav couldn't find the house. We phoned the owner who didn't speak English and I don't speak Spanish. We found a taxi rank and asked them to take us and we would follow and pay them. He couldn't find it either, so he spoke to the owner who came and met us and we followed him. He was very helpful - considering it was now midnight!! Other than this everything else was great. A very steep climb down to the town."

"Host is very helpful and supportive. The cottage has a great interior design with an antique touch and interesting wallphotos showing the area. Exterior is super. With a barbeque area with a n outdoor kitchenette .The area itself is close to the town and the three city of Porto de la Cruz is close. Only problem was that our GPS always showed the worst way to get to the south side.. .We enjoyed our stay."

"Es ist ein wunderschöner Flecken auf unserer Erde und tausend Mal schöner als jedes Hotelzimmer. Die Unterkunft ist zwar klein, aber grundsätzlich mit allem versehen, was man im Urlaub braucht. Selbst das Internet ist rasend schnell! Am besten ist aber der traumhafte Außenbereich mit tollen Plätzen, die alle einen wunderschönen Blick haben. Wir hatten eine Woche mit recht viel Regen, trotzdem haben wir es genießen können!"

"We stayed here for 7-8 days in July and had a wonderful stay. The location really is amazing and having the private pool to refresh in when too hot is amazing. Peter and Martina are lovely and very respectful so we never felt like they were intruding on our stay. Would definitely come back again."

Great hotel, wonderful staff.

"Nice hotel, really helpful reception staff. Bar staff a little under staffed. Bedrooms and facilities generally are great. Air con in the room is clearly restricted to around 20-21°C which was a little to warm, despite the controls reading 16."
