We stayed in early spring and enjoyed the fresh greenery, bird songs and the occasional fox sighting. It's very secluded yet convenient to town and exploring the area. The house has a well equipped kitchen, good lighting, a comfy sofa for evenings and a very good bed. The porch offers a fine view of the river and canyon and is great for eating out. "Staying in and among buildings in a village settled in 1067, clinging to a steep mountain wall, seemed to connect us deeply to the history and geography of South France. Tricky to find, even with the help of some good men in St Andre de Vizines, the effort was exponentially rewarded. Of our 1800+ kilometer drive to visit alps, a bridge, a cave, and a city of lights, our stay in St. Andre keeps emerging as a true highlight."

"This property was perfect for our needs and very much as described on the website. The kitchen was well equipped, the lounge and bedroom comfortable and the outside garden space a lovely place to relax. The town is very pretty with lovely riverside walks and opportunities for fishing. There were plenty of cafes, small shops and an excellent supermarket nearby. Living next door, the host was very helpful. The area itself was great for walking, picnics, fishing and we found different places to go...

"Good location for visiting the western Cevennes, basic accomodation that was comfortable for two. It could get a bit noisy in late afternoon and early evening but the view was stunning. Parking occasionaly awkward and the steps up to the cottage could be difficult for some."

"Gîte très agréable, situé au coeur d'un village typique de l'Aveyron. Calme assuré, très beau village riche de son histoire et de ses monuments. Nous conseillons la visite du village et de la cité des Insectes Micropolis qui ravie les grands et les petits. Très bon contact avec les loueurs. Proximité de Millau de de son fabuleux Viaduc à 18 Kms ainsi que de nombreux sites touristiques aus alentours. Pour un futur séjour dans l'Aveyron, nous y reviendrons, c'est sur !!!"
