Nestled above a retail space in the quaint La Jolla Shores neighborhood, this upstairs unit is a two minute walk from San Diego's most beautiful and family friendly beaches, La Jolla Shores.

The unit is upstairs from Hike Bike Kayak Adventures, who generously includes free equipment rentals for guests of this unit including kayaks, boogie boards, snorkels, foam surf boards, paddle boards and wetsuits. They also include 25% off guided tours for guests of this unit.

The unit is a one bed, one bath with queen size blow up matress. Perfect for a couple or young family.

La Jolla Shores is a mile long pristine beach and the neighborhood is much quieter, easier to park, and more relaxing than La Jolla Village. However, La Jolla Village and La Jolla Cove are still a five minute car ride, fifteen minute bike ride (for adults), or twenty minute walk. While La Jolla Shores has such famous restaurants as Piatti's, Osteria Romantica, and the five-star Marine Room, the shopping, restaurants, bars, and art galleries are still very accessible from this location.

From La Jolla Shores, depending on the season, you can relax on the beach in the sun, kayak the La Jolla Sea Caves, snorkel with the famous (and completely harmless) leopard sharks, kayak with gray whales, surf gentle waves, boogie board around the beautiful coast. All with equipment or instruction from Hike Bike Kayak Adventures.

Great place to stay!
This is a lovely place to stay which is very close to some fantastic places to eat (including the best little bakery/coffee shop next door) and the beach is within a very short walking distance. We would definitely stay here again!

Great Location!
We loved staying in the La Jolla Shores neighborhood. There's a great beach and lots of restaurants, all in easy walking distance. The place has a lovely outdoor/private shower making beach days easy.

An amazing stay in La Jolla Shores
Just a great place to stay. Terrific private space above the rental shop. Clean, well maintained and had everything we needed. Interactions with the host were easy and friendly. Sharon made accessing the kayaks easy. Just a short walk to an amazing beach to walk, kayak and snorkel. Highly recommended!

This one of our favorite places! Food, beach activities all in a 2 block area! We really enjoyed ourselves! The condo is a great place just to hang out! We had a great time! Looking forward to our next trip!

Perfect location, right in the heart of La Jolla Shores.
My wife, son, and I stayed there for 2 nights in Sept. It was awesome. Sharon was so warm and welcoming. We plan to go back again and again. Having access to kayaks was such a great perk. Great location and super easy walk to ocean.

We loved having access to the surfing, kayaking and snorkeling gear! It's a fun, busy area and very walkable. The outdoor shower was a bonus so we weren't tracking sand into the home. We would definitely come back.

I loved this apartment! It was nicely decorated, very tidy, quiet, and in a wonderful location. The bed was comfortable, the Keurig machine was well stocked, and access to the kayaks was a great bonus. No ka oi!

Excellent location and a lovely apartment
I very much enjoyed a long weekend at the apartment! I didn't want for anything and the bed was comfy as well as the living room! I loved the air con in the bedroom and the living room as well as the ceiling fans. Shower worked well and there was access to plenty of towels for both the apartment and the beach. The washer/dryer were a bonus as well as access to the main strip of restaurants in the Shores and being just 400m from the beach! I took advantage of the 25% discount for a kayak trip which was flipping brilliant! Thank you, Sharon, I had a marvellous time!

Just Wow!
Amazing location above the Hosts' Kayak shop and within steps from numerous restaurants, cafes and bakeries. Perfect location within a couple blocks from the Beach, and a 20 min kayak ride to the La Jolla Cove and the seals. My wife and I and our teenage boys loved it. Used the complementary kayaks and gear which was a great perk. The boys slept on the blowup mattress and though they would have preferred a bed, my wife and I we were just fine : ). Would return again and again. Thank you.

Great Beach Cottage
We will be back! This is a perfect place for a couple to base their next San Diego trip. This La Jolla Shores apartment is just a short walk to the beach. This neighborhood has plenty of shops, restaurants, activities, and stores (something for everyone). The Village of La Jolla is just a mile away (and downtown SD is just a 15 minute drive). The apartment had a relaxed, coastal design and was stocked with everything travelers need. We never had a problem finding parking within a block of the apartment. We only wished that we could have stayed longer.

Sweet location
Awesome location. Thought the couch would be a pullout...was not...but didn't matter, there were 2 decent inflatable beds, 1 single and 1 queen...so i had no problem sleeping 4...parents in the bedroom and kids on the blow-ups, but i have the same blow-up at home and wouldn't have had a problem sleeping on it. Took Sharon up on the free kayaks and surf boards...awesome perk, that makes the place a deal if you take advantage of it. Make sure you also stop in at Brick and Bell for coffee and breakfast or lunch...Best deals in the area on coffee, smoothies and scones/danishs/sandwiches and its 20 feet from the condo.

Lovely little spot in La Jolla
Hubby and I were very happy with this VRBO rental. The pictures are spot on. The place is clean, bed and furniture are comfy. Nice windows and we didn't need the AC in the main living area; we just used in the bedroom for sleeping. Quick walk downstairs with an alley entrance to your morning coffee right next door. I took the kayak tour through the caves; note the kayak rentals are free; tours are not. Remember to ask for your 25% discount on tours (I forgot). You also get free Boogie Board rentals, that was fun. There were towels for the shower and towels for the beach. I enjoyed reading while sitting on our balcony. Would definitely rent this place again.

We liked the location and the privacy (secure entry off the alley) very much. Nice to have extra towels and beach towels and coffee provided. Nice to have option for free rentals although we couldn't take advantage of that for this trip. The condo could use some minor upgrades, e.g., there's no dishwasher & we couldn't find a drying rack to dry dishes; shower curtain needs bleaching or replacing; it would be nice to have a suitcase rack or something similar to have additional place to unload luggage in bedroom (especially since dresser being used for extra linens); a small shelf in bathroom would help if two people bring toiletries.

Perfect little spot in the best little beach community
My 18-year-old daughter and I spent a weekend visiting my best friend who lives in the area.. I was worried after reading a recent review that the place would be less than stellar. I needn’t have worried. I got check in instructions 24 hours in advance and everything worked just as it should, including strong Wi-Fi. Sharon was super nice and even called me to let me know she had sent the information. The space was adorable, we threw open the blinds, windows and curtains and soaked up the sea air! The bed was very comfy and we had all that we needed- Beach towels, plenty of pillows, cozy throw blankets, lawn chairs, beach umbrella, and a nicely stocked kitchen. The neighborhood was adorable with a short super fun walk to the beach loaded with shops and restaurants. The beach was absolutely stunning! It’s literally just a couple blocks until you dead and at the sand. We walked the beach multiple times over the two days we were there. We saw sunrises, sunsets and had lunch on the boardwalk. A fantastic place to be. Can’t wait to go back.
