Use of 2 bicycles which we didn’t avail of as it was very hot - in the 30s from mid-morning till night - during our stay. "What should have been a perfect week, turned into a disaster with a contaminated pool, which the owner had known about but didn't warn us and a dirty house. Both issues were flagged up to both the owner and VRBO at the time, but 2 months later, we are still waiting for even a gesture of compensation. The property promised so much and could have been wonderful, but with the owner abroad, things had obviously slipped, including the gardens which were overgrown and scruffy. The area is wonderful...

"We are tennis fanatics so it was lovely to have a private court in good condition in the grounds. Played every day. Nice pool to cool off. Villa was spotless and spacious and all the appliances worked. Be aware that towels are not provided. Dealing with Vrbo was not easy. We needed to talk to them about a French legal requirement for liability insurance and the only contact number I could find was a USA premium rate line. Cost me £35 for a 7 minute conversation and they failed to call me back...
