Room was clean, and A/C worked. When I checked in, they had no record of my horels.com reservation, but were able to give us the room we had chosen.

The River Valley Motor Inn in La Grange, Texas, is a safe and quiet stay. The location has easy parking and shopping and dining options nearby. I recommend the River Valley cafe for breakfast! The staff was also super friendly and helpful. I'd love to give it five stars, but the sink and bathroom weren't as clean as they could've been. Otherwise, everything was perfect.

Helpful check in staff when we found our reservation had been cancelled for unknown reason. Outdoor lighting not on when completely dark at night. Safety hazard. Front desk staff said they could not turn on the lights, it was automatic. Ridiculous.

We had confirmation and documentation of our stay and was told our reservation was cancelled. We had no notification of this and they did not care! Left to find another hotel all on our own with no assistance and late at night! Absolutely disgusting! I will never book this place again and hope Expedia takes it out!!

Rooms dirty. Needs upgrade. No trashcan anywhere in room. Large number of oilfield(?) workers staying and were extremely loud and drunk outside with loud music and vehicles revving engine until 5:30 AM. AC also very loud.
