Amazing unique property full of history set in lovely scenery. Cheryl couldn’t have done more as a host and we highly recommend a stay if you are in the area. We couldn’t have had a better first experience of Texas.
Great, fun historic building on beautiful property
My husband says it's the "coolest" place we've ever stayed. The view of the pond and countryside was beautiful and the peace and quiet was very refreshing.

Loved staying here. Beautiful views from the porch. I think the photos of the beer joint speak for themselves -
place is great. Host is warm and kind. Well stocked.
We had such a peaceful time at the "Beer Joint". Very quiet and had everything you could ever need if you are away from home!!! We will definately be returning soon.
The beer joint is exactly what we were looking for too celebrate my birthday. Every inch is decorated with care and thoughtfulness and the hostess went out of her way to make us feel welcome and at home. We’ve always booked our next stay!
Perfect place for us to get a little R&R. In the area for one day of work and found the perfect spot to relax. The Beer Joint was a great fit for us- quiet, sunrise on one side of the porch, sunset on the other and a place to fish in front.
The Browns were the best hosts, very responsive to our questions and needs.
The porch was a perfect setting for the long talks between two dear old friends! The ranch is so peaceful and relaxing. The wildflowers were gorgeous and the fresh fragrances of Spring were invigorating! It’s exactly what the doctor ordered!
Enjoyed the weekend at the Beer Joint. Clean, comfortable, festively decorated for fall during our stay. Peaceful porch swing w/nice landscape, birds, deer, sunrise/sets. House has lots to look at and appreciate + books, magazines, games and movies -- and any toiletries you could think of you might have forgot to bring. I felt like someone hit a stress reset button after my stay here, and would return again when in the area.... or even when I'm not.
We had a very nice stay at The Beer Joint. The hosts supply everything you need. Started each morning with coffee and sitting on the porch, and ended the day with a cocktail and sitting on the porch. Do wish there was a couch, but it is exactly as pictured and described. Would definitely stay there again.
Me and my sister stayed here while we were going to round top to shop. It’s a great location and a place to rest and relax. We’re able to get away from all the craziness at round top and relax and enjoy yourselves on the beautiful back porch with a great view. We will be back again for sure
Best friends coming into town for the Round Top sale. This was our second time to stay in The Beer Joint and it was amazing as always! Big enough for us to haul all of our goodies in each day and a beautiful view with our coffee on the porch each morning. Cheryl and Mark are top notch hosts!! We will definitely be back!!
My mother and I stayed while visiting the antique fair and really enjoyed our stay. This property is very unique with lots of little fun things to discover throughout the property. Cheryl was very kind and immediately responded with any questions we had. Thank you for being a great host!
The Beer Joint was amazing!! When we drove into the ranch we felt safe as the coded gate closed behind us. It was so peaceful and beautiful there! The house was stocked with anything we needed! Cheryl thought of EVERYTHING and was such a GREAT host!! The decor was so fun and made for some fun bestie pictures as well!! The view from the front porch was awesome and we watched a young buck circle the pond our first morning as the sun came up! We were so comfortable and “at home” here and we didn’t want to leave!! Thank you so much Cheryl! You are the best and The Beer Joint is on our favorites list for sure!!

Was a great couple of nights with a nice view in the country. Host was very nice. A little drive from Round Top but very doable and lots of wildflowers!
For three nights we enjoyed the uniqueness of our rental. After our days spent in Round Top antiquing, we would play the jukebox and sit on the front porch gazing at the stars. It had all the amenities we needed and Cheryl even brought us fresh muffins in the morning. Such love and care has been put into every detail. Right down to the heart shaped stone placed on the hand towels in the restroom. We truly hated to leave.
