Gîte des Catalpas

In a typical property in Touraine tufa stone, detached house of 40 m2 consists of a large bedroom (30m2), a kitchen and a bathroom.
This "cottage catalpas" is located at the end of the farmhouse occupied by the owners and has an outdoor area with garden furniture. The interior decoration is neat in natural tones to be in harmony with nature.
The environment is very pleasant, because of the proximity of the Loire, in a quiet village.
A bakery has just opened its doors in the town in March 2017 which is very significant!
The association Bâteliers de Loire offers free crossings of the Loire in July and August, especially for cyclists who want to join the route of the Loire à Vélo on the opposite bank.
The cottage is located in the center of many Loire castles to visit: Langeais, Villandry, Chinon, Azay Le Rideau ...

Zum Relaxen geeignet, familiär und günstig gelegen
Das Ferienhaus war zwar nicht ganz einfach zu finden, als diese Hürde gemeistert war, gab es einen herzlichen Empfang durch Christian Valette. Für unsere Ausflüge lag das Ferienhaus genau richtig. Auch der Kontakt zum Hausherren war völlig unkompliziert, Hilfe gab es bei jeder Frage. Eine kleine Reparatur an wenigen Stellen erscheint nötig, war für uns aber nicht weiter störend. Die Ausstattung hat uns überrascht, in der Küche standen alle gewohnten Gegenstände und Geräte zur Verfügung. Wer darüber hinaus Ruhe und ländlichen Charme sucht, ist bei Christian Valette gut aufgehoben.

Schöne Tage an der Loire in ruhiger Umgebung
Wir haben Anfang August 4 Tage in Christians Apartment in Chapelle-sur-Loire verbracht, um die südliche Tourraine und das benachbarte Anjou zu entdecken. Wir haben uns in dem Apartment rundum wohlgefühlt. Es ist für 2 Personen genügend groß, der nötige Komfort für einige Tage Aufenthalt ist hinreichend vorhanden. Nicht zu vergessen die herrlich ruhige Lage nahe an der Loire, die in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß bequem zu erreichen war. Christian war ein aufmerksamer, hilfsbereiter und zugleich zurückhaltender Gastgeber. Wir können sein Apartment jedem Paar, dass diese Gegend auf eigene Faust entdecken möchte, uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Tranquility!
Comfortable cottage along the Loire -- close enough to visit chateaux but a world away from the tourist scene. Garden setting full of flowers. The inclined driveway to get down to the location from the main road is less challenging than it initially looked.

Tranquille et propre
On a passé 3 jours dans ce gîte, très propre et avec toutes les utilités. Parfait pour un couple, même avec un jeune enfant. On peut profiter des beaux jours dans le jardin ou sur les bords de la Loire et aussi visiter les alentours (Chinon, Azay le Rideau...)

Christian saved my vacation. Great location to tour the Loire Valley Chateaux
Christian was wonderful and saved my vacation by working with me with the actual days of my rental (very last minute). Quiet, beautiful garden view from the cottage. As with many of these types of rentals in France there is no AC. I might recommend to Christian that they add a standing rotating fan to the house equipment. That would have mad a difference as there was always a nice breeze. (PS, they don't use screens in France). It does lend itself to living by the sun. I would definitely return!

Rustig gelegen in een prachtige tuin.
Het huisje was voorzien van alles wat je nodig hebt, schoon en gezellig ingericht. Christian is een gezellige gastheer die ook de nodige tips heeft over de omgeving. We hebben 12 dagen doorgebracht in La Chapelle-sur-Loire, en zodoende de omgeving goed kunnen bekijken.

Wonderful stay!
Very clean & comfortable...and loved the kitchen! Christian was very attentive to our needs & very helpful! Close to the Hyper U large market in Bourgueil... close proximity to Avoine, saumur & Chinon....would definitely recommend!

A great apartment in a lovely peaceful setting.
The property was well situated for visiting the surrounding chateaux and other places of interest. It was clean and well maintained with a nice outside area to enjoy eating outdoors. Everything needed for a pleasant stay. Christian (the owner) was very welcoming and helpful. Would definitely recommend this property.

A wonderful apartment with all the essentials to make you feel very comfortable and at home!
The apartment is in a great location to see the chateaus in the Loire Valley area. The apartment is very clean, well-maintained and contains everything needed for a terrific stay. Christian was a fine host, being well-organized and helpful with information. We reallly enjoyed the excellent garden area with mature trees and flowers. Very quiet with comfortable bed. Would definately stay again!

Bel appartement, dans une longère au fond d'un grand jardin vert et fleuri. Atmosphère champêtre. Appartement clair, très confortable et meublé avec beaucoup de goût. Très propre. Cuisine bien équipée pour faire des plats très simples. Meubles de jardin devant la fenêtre pour prendre les repas sur la pelouse. Séjour idéal pour visiter quelques uns des magnifiques sites de la région. Le maître de maison nous a accueillis avec une bouteille de Bourgueil et un délicieux fromage de chèvre du pays. Well-equipped kitchen to cook simple meals. Country atmosphere. Ideal place to visit some of the magnificent sites all around. Our host was very nice and hospitable. Confortable,new and great garden
We have spent six days in this location feeling very comfortable. All is brand new, big enough for a couple and a child, and a great garden for enjoying the Loira starry nights having dinner outside.Cossy kitchen with all necessary for spending a time there and a warm welcome. Excellent connection WIFI and very comfortable mattress.Thank you Monsieur Christian.
