"Booked and paid for Hotel on the basis of there being a restaurant for dinner( as shown on website) as we had driven 1000 kilometres by car. Upon arrival was informed kitchen not available for dinner. Also at breakfast there was a dog without being on a lead wandering in breakfast room and reception. I had to point out more than once that I have a dog allergy. I wouldn’t stay here again. "

"This property was perfect for our needs and very much as described on the website. The kitchen was well equipped, the lounge and bedroom comfortable and the outside garden space a lovely place to relax. The town is very pretty with lovely riverside walks and opportunities for fishing. There were plenty of cafes, small shops and an excellent supermarket nearby. Living next door, the host was very helpful. The area itself was great for walking, picnics, fishing and we found different places to go each day. Walking by the river and finding places for our dog to swim was a particular treat as was the quality of local restaurants and the friendliness of people we met. "

"This is our 2nd stay at Le Douluch and it was as good as the 1st time. The house is gorgeous and well laid out. All communication with the owners was very clear and friendly and the manager Suzanne was lovely. The house is in a really tranquil area of France which isn’t hugely touristy but the pool is fabulous and private when the weather is good. We had a few overcast days this time but used that to explore the local area and would definitely recommend the chocolate made by the nuns at Abbaye de Bonneval and the lovely village of Valon and it’s chateau. Thanks again to Tony and we look forward to coming back sometime. The nearest supermarket is only 20 mins away and the terrace is beautiful to sit and eat meals in the fresh air drinking in the wonderful view!!"
