There are several places to gather and chat - or get away and have some quiet time to yourself. The house cleaner let us in (a bit early) and explained the features of the house. "We all had a wonderful stay at this very secluded home on a sheep farm with pretty grounds and views and were able to explore the many acres of the farm with a very informative tour of the vineyards which resulted in a wine tasting session of Jeffs excellent wines. Our hosts were helpful and very welcoming. I should point out that the property is advertised as having two bathrooms when it infact only has one but the beds are comfortable and we all slept well. The town of Uzes is only a few minutes walk away from the house so it was very convenient for all the bars and restaurants. Don’t miss the huge Saturday market, best in the area. "Brilliant from start to finish! Such a stunning place to stay for all the family. We LOVED the accommodation, the character of the property, the outside spaces, the pool was AMAZING… everything about it. The games room was perfect for the evenings. The location, close to Nimes and Sommières, was beautiful and easy to find. The village of Combas is picturesque in every way. "Easy walkable access to historic and beautiful Uzes sites and downtown. Our host couldn't have been more helpful, making us feel welcome. Perfect for couples or families. Our only quibble is that while there are two bathrooms, only one has a toilet. Would happily stay there again "

"Delightful historic house set in beautiful grounds with very spacious accommodation. 2 minutes to the boulangerie! 5 minutes walk to Le Table D'Amis Chez Richard & Le Papareil. Both excellent restaurants & very friendly. The family would all love to return to this amazing house!"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at le Grand DoMeynes, it really is a gorgeous house, spacious enough for a big group. We had some lovely meals sitting around the huge dining room table. It’s very rustic which you must bear in mind if you require fully restored modern bathrooms. We coped well without Air Con, the house had lots of fans although the first night was extremely hot! Meynes is right on the voie vert between Beaucaire and Le Pont du Gard and we cycled between both- gorgeous countryside!...
