Visitors should be aware that the bus system doesn’t operate (or is very limited) on weekends. "

The staff were very friendly but it would have helped if they told us the key needs to be inserted a certain way and the power control is behind the bathroom door. "Great hotel in Monte Gordo, we had a fabulous stay in a wonderful town with amazing beach and very close to the Spanish border. Staff were grand, we had a very good buffet breakfast, main items to choose from. Very close to beach and shops. If needed there is a 2 1/2 mile walk to the border town of Vila Real de Santo Antonio along a straight road but the beach walk is glorious although twice the distance. Beach is just fantastic. Was a small fishing village before tourism and no natural...
