"Very good experience, was an extremely cheap deal. Location: location is good but a little far from things, but taxis are cheap and public transport available and also cheap. Verified traveler

Not much of a town, from the tourist point of view. Views marred by the acres of plastic sheathed banana greenhouses. Porto de Aldea is small and pretty. Drive up to Arternara was amazing, though a bit hair-raising at moments.
