"This was such a charming and beautiful place—small, quaint, and perfect for our needs. The location was ideal, just steps from the water, and full of the quiet magic of village life (we even heard donkeys passing by in the morning!). Our host, who lived upstairs, was kind, welcoming, and truly embodied the spirit of the town. A helpful man at the entrance assisted with our bags for a small tip, which made arrival easy—especially since no cars are allowed and the only way around is via winding stairs. The space was perfect for both kids and adults, and we’d absolutely stay here again. "

"Fantastic location and the view of the ocean from our room. Breakfast was super good, the best one during our trip in Greece. The property is not new and there was some smell of old wood in the room. I hoped to use the fireplace as it was cold outside but they didn’t have wood, so it was disappointing. "

"Traditional stone house, in a lovely little village, high above sealevel. The walk up the hill is truly exhausting, but ok we had been warned abaout that upfront. There is no local co-host on the ground to meet and greet you, so you will have to find your way on your own based on the route description, which has some flaws - in particular the house number was nowhere to be found... Once found, the house offers a spectacular seaview indeed. On the lower end of the experience: The beds are either very worn out and soft (master bedroom) or very hard and totally unflexible (other bedrooms). The interior is decorated more in the style of a provencal countryhome than typically greek, so it reminds a little of that Coldplay song: It was all yellow :-) Lots of cushions and carpets give it a cosy feel. The house was very cold when we arrived (night temperature around 7 degrees celsius, inside and outside...) so the first night was truly terrible. The heating features a hidden switch in a bookshelf, which was not mentioned in the house description. We only learned that via whatsapp from the owner on day 2 after complaining about the bitter cold. We were quite annoyed by the quality of the beds, so we decided to not stay for the full 2 weeks we booked (and paid) - we left after 5 days and rented something else, on our own extra costs. Sad, to summarize, but I'd say: There are many better options in the area. "

"Situated almost immediately by the bridge to the island, AKTAION Hotel was quite comfortable, and well positioned for restaurants. My room was one of the smaller ones, but it’s balcony faced the island and the sea. I would most happily stay there again if the opportunity occurs. "

"Amazing views from our balcony. Lots of parking. Many seaside restaurants in town. Good breakfast. A bit of an uphill climb from town."

"This hotel is in a fantastic location, just a few metres from the beach (pebbly). Breakfast can be taken at their terrace on the beach (breakfast superb!) overlooking the rock. All the staff are really helpful and friendly. The room was big, if a little dated, but very very clean and comfortable, with good air conditioning and a terrace. There are tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge. The bathroom is small, but sparkingly clean and functional, with plenty of hot water. When we had a faulty light fitting one evening the staff were very quick to respond and even at 8 pm the faulty fitting was replaced without any fuss. We cannot fault this hotel and would definately recommend. "
