Pelican's Perch - Ocean Views! Beach is Right Across the Street!

If you're looking for a centrally-located house with abundant ocean views and easy beach access that's not far from anything on Pleasure Island, then look no further. Pelican's Perch's 2nd row center island location is just 1/4 mile from the Kure Beach and Carolina Beach line. You can walk diagonally across the street to our community's private beach access with gazebo, or ride a bike to any location on the island. Our main living area is on the top floor which gives awesome views of the ocean and also the colorful homes in the neighborhood. Ample decks outside the 2nd floor bedrooms and the upper floor living area give the perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee, enjoy the ocean view with a good book in hand, or just enjoy each other's company with the nice view and ocean breeze. The entire ground floor deck with an outdoor shower is surrounded by lattice for privacy. It's hidden from view and offers some shielding from the morning sun, but you can still see out and feel the ocean breeze. The garage area contains various bikes and beach supplies to help make your stay more fun. A ping pong table and a video game system will provide some indoor fun on rainy days or when you've had enough sun for the day. When the day is done, then sleep in comfort in the nicely-decorated 4 bedrooms equipped with queen beds, dreaming about what the next day on the island will bring.
Pelican's Perch isn't just a rental - It's our second home, and we're continually improving it so that it will be the best it can be. We love this home's 2nd row location and beautiful ocean views, and it is situated so conveniently to all points on the island. We believe Pelican's Perch is one of the best second row homes on the island, and we hope that you will enjoy staying there as much as we do.
Please read the following important information before booking a stay in Pelican's Perch:
There is a 3 day minimum stay with no specific required day of check-in or check-out during most of the year except for the summer high rental season. During that time there is a 7 day minimum stay running from Saturday to Saturday. When booking, feel free to send us a message including any questions that would be relevant to your group's needs. If you're planning to bring a furry friend, then we are dog-friendly. We allow up to two small and well-behaved dogs, up to 25 lbs each. Dogs are the only pets we allow and each dog must be approved by us prior to your arrival. No dogs over 25 lbs, cats, or other animals will be allowed.
Also remember that Pelican's Perch is a non-smoking house both inside and outside on any of the decks.

Perfect location!

We had a wonderful stay at Pelican’s Perch! It has the best location between Carolina and Kure Beach’s. The private beach access was so easy right across the street. Barbara the property manager was wonderful as well. We can’t say enough about the great property!

Great family beach week!

We had a wonderful time at Pelican’s Perch. The location to the beach is perfect as are the ocean views. We all slept great in the comfy beds. They were well stocked with detergent, kitchen essentials, trash bags and dishwasher pods. Thank you and can’t wait to come back!

Wonderful beach trip!

We had a wonderful stay! The ocean view is great, you can sit on the deck and watch the sun rise over the ocean. The beach access is a very short walk across the street. The owner is very prompt and helpful with communication, and really went above and beyond! Barbara was also great and let us know about local events going on. The house is clean and spacious and provided a great environment for our family to make memories on vacation. This our second time staying here, and we have had wonderful experiences both times!

Great space and location

Property had tons of space for our group. Well stocked kitchen and great location on Kure Beach. Tons of beach equipment for use in the garage. Private beach access included a nice gazebo to sit, read, relax and catch the beach view.

Great trip

The property was great and more than described. However, the steps are real, everything has steps, it’s a definite workout. The kitchen was stocked with everything needed for any meal. The family areas were the best for everyone to relax. The bedrooms were very spacious, and the beds were all comfy. The showerheads in the bathrooms on second level were lacking, but the one on the bottom was awesome. The downstairs game room was great and we couldn’t hear the teenagers upstairs which was a plus. The ping pong table and corn hole boards were awesome. We had a great trip and great weather.

Great house and location

This is our 2nd stay at Pelican Perch and we love it! The location is perfect, right across the street from the private beach access and far enough between Carolina Beach and the pier that it’s not to crowded on the beach. Gary and Tracy provide everything you need for a great stay from a well stocked kitchen to all the beach chairs and accessories you need. All you need to bring are your clothes and beach towels! Barbara is a great property manager and is so quick to respond to any questions that you may have. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely home with us.

Wonderful family home!

We had a great time in this home at Kure Beach! The top floor living area is nice with the views, and we enjoyed July 4 fireworks from the deck. The house was very clean, as advertised, and had plenty of games, smart TVs, beach toys and chairs, etc that we all enjoyed. Beach access was easy across the street. There was an issue when the key didn’t work in the access gate (it was an issue with the gate) that seemed to get resolved very quickly. The area of the beach was quiet enough for us to have our own little spot and wasn’t too crowded. Overall, a wonderful family vacation!

Great location and stay

My family of 3 really enjoyed our Thanksgiving stay. The property is 100% as described. Great location, awesome communication from the owners and all around a great value. We particularly enjoyed the top deck ocean views and proximity to the beach. We cooked several meals and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. My only suggestion is to have the carpets either deep cleaned or replaced; especially on the stairways. Other than that, we would definitely recommend this property to others. Thank you!

Awesome house!

This is our third time staying at Pelican’s Perch and our family loves it! The house is furnished with basically everything you need. All we carry is our clothes and food. They have enough beach chairs and umbrellas for our family (5 adults, 2 toddlers and baby). You can sit on the deck with your morning coffee and watch the sun come up over the ocean. Beach access is almost directly across from the house and so nice that it’s private and you don’t have to pay for parking. The owners are so fast to respond to you and Barbara the property manager is great to work with. We look forward to coming back again next year.

Fantastic house and location!

This house has everything you need to have a wonderful vacation! I think this is the first house we have rented that we didn’t have to lug all of our beach gear with us. Gary and Tracy have done an amazing job of supplying everything you need, from the beach chairs, umbrellas, cooler, wagon and even toys if you have small children. We loved the location, just a quick walk across the road to the beach access. Sitting on the deck watching the water was a favorite first thing every morning and at night. Not only do they have everything you need for the beach but also have plenty of entertainment. We enjoyed the bikes, puzzles and had a blast playing Buzz Word. Thanks for sharing your home and we look forward to returning!

Nothing to complain about at all, just a great vacation

We stayed at the property July 16-23, and from the time we checked in everything was excellent. Barbara was very helpful in getting us in and pointed in the right direction on things in the house and also things to do. The house is the perfect location, with the beach access literally a 30 second walk across the street. The house was great, and the view off of the top floor across to the ocean just was the icing on the cake. Although we brought most of our beach items. there was a cooler provided, I think six chairs, and a couple of umbrellas, and some boogie boards and miscellaneous beach play stuff. There was also some bikes available and ping pong if you had the time!! The house is located at the front of some very large connected neighborhoods, so if you wanted to run or jog you didn't even have to go out on the main road. The house is about a mile from the Kure Beach pier which had some restaurants and shops and a little boardwalk, or about 2 miles from the Carolina Beach boardwalk which is a little more excitement and stuff to do. Can't say enough how much we enjoyed our stay and looking forward to being back next year!!
