As with most traditional Japanese inns, there is little flexibility when it comes to their set ways (such as asking for a cup of coffee with breakfast, when you are only offered tea…can not do). The area surrounding the inn is also quite industrial and unattractive. But it is within easy walking distance of Beppu’s main attraction—the Hells of Beppu hot springs."
