"Although not a fancy 5 star hotel, the Fern Ridge was a very pleasant surprise! We had expected the lower rate to mean a small room without much comfort, but found the friendliness of the staff to go above and beyond what one would receive at ANY rated hotel. Jackie introduced herself as the housekeeper and was very kind to note she would accommodate anything we needed, their restaurant served reasonably priced meals, and located only moments from the Pocono Speedway. "the property is beautiful and incredibly serene. we loved seeing deer in our backyard and going in the fall with the leaves all around was gorgeous. wish the lake was a bit closer but the house itself was cozy and extremely clean with everything from dish soap to pre made ice cubes. communication with host was wonderful and she is extremely prompt about replying"

It was a short walk to the lake area and heated pool, especially since we ended up with a cool, cloudy week, the kids enjoyed the heated pool.
