Look for somewhere else
The stay got off to a poor start when my airport pick up was 45 minutes late (it’s only a half hour trip to the resort so it is difficult to justify a delay of that length other than a completely lack of interest) There was no real apology or effort to understand why I might be upset about standing around when I could have just taken an airport taxi.
The room was a good size and clean but old and tired. The beds were not comfortable and one of the sheets was dirty with small smear of what looked like blood. The bathroom facilities were old. That would be OK but a sign next to the toilet warned guests not to flush tissue. I don’t think that is acceptable in a 3 star hotel but if it is absolutely necessary it is imperative that a sanitary bin with a lid is provided sadly this was not the case so it was very unhygienic and unpleasant. Even worse the bin was never emptied as no attempt was made to clean the room for my three night stay despite the fact I was out most of the time.
To cap off my stay the hotel car I booked (and twice confirmed) to take me back to the airport didn’t show up at 7am, there was no one at reception to help and no reply from the mobile phone provided.
The hotel and its staff made no pretence of caring about my wellbeing or very modest needs during my stay and my advice to anyone who is tempted to book is don’t. You are unlikely to find anywhere else as bad in any price range.
