"I stayed at this hotel in March 2025. Perfect location, close to everything. The old town is 5 minutes to walk. There are many shops in that area. Good public transportation. Staffs were very helpful and accommodating. My room was clean and functional and good value for the money. They offer a good breakfast! "

"This property was impossible to drive to. It is in a pedestrian area only and none of the navigation directions using the two provided by the hotel as well as the actual hotel address took us to the front door of the property. There is no big sign so when you're within the block or two where the navigation takes you to, you cannot visually see where the property is. We drove around the neighborhood for over a half hour before finally drove down into a parking lot, parked the car and then walked...

"I was really happy with the comfortable bed, kettle and complimentary coffee and tea, storage space for luggage and clothes, even a steamer for clothes in the room, the stable WiFi, great selection at breakfast, the restaurant, the hotel’s location close to shops and the old city; the design of the shower room was not very practical / not what I would have preferred, but it was still alright. "

"Hotel complex is nice, with half of the rooms freshly renovated and other half not. Rooms are priced the same, so you can get unlucky and stay in the old part. I stayed in a very busy period so it was sold out. If at full capacity there is waiting line to get a table for breakfast. When it's not completely full, it's a great hotel for a good value with great amenities."

"A beautifully renovated hotel in the centre of the town. Breakfast is served from 7 - 10, is excellent with a wide choice of sweet and savoury to keep up you going for the day. The hotel is within walking distance of all the sights, restaurants and cafes. We rented a car, so parked it in the hotel’s underground garage for €21 a night. "Location was perfect, just outside the downtown with tons of food options nearby. The staff was great at giving recommendations on things to do and places to eat. Room was clean and comfortable. If you’re on the taller side you may have to mind your head in a few spots of the room, but to be expected when in an attic. Staff gave great instructions on streets where we could find parking and there is an app you can use top up payments. Would stay again when visiting Ljubljana. "

Relaxed and Rested

"We have nothing but wonderful things to say about this stay! Igor and Tina are the most thoughtful hosts. We had everything we needed from cookware to plenty of towels and comfy beds. We booked this stay for the end of our trip and hoped it would be a time for us to unwind from the busy travel days we had. It couldn't have been better. The sauna was so nice and the setting was beautiful. The chalet is set up with all of the comforts of home in the quiet town of Rakitna. 10/10 we recommend a stay at Tina and Igor's chalet!"
