"Our holiday in the Villa met all our high expectations. The Villa has superb accommodation and outside areas and facilities. The Management Company looked after a couple of issues which arose, including loss of hot water, very quickly. Makry Gialos is a fantastic and authentic resort, away from the tourist hot spots. So nice, I fear its secret will be out soon and it will grow and lose some of its charm. I recommend you get to it now! Martyn, Shirley & family. "

"We were 3 couples on a sampler trip through parts of Europe. This house was a highlight of our trip. We loved the view, the pool, the friendliness and responsiveness of the host, the usefulness of everything in the house. We had a couple of small issues but when we told the host, they were going to get them taken care of. It was hard to leave when our time came. "

"We were met by the owner on arrival & briefly showed around, we didn’t arrive until 1am so I’m not sure if he was tired but he was not very welcoming. The only welcome pack was 2 bottles of water, there was wine there but he advised this was €12 a bottle. He also advised that the gas to the cooker was turned off, so on a stove there were two rings for 10 people, which would never be enough. It was also not clear on the information that 4 of the beds were so separate with no access to main...

"Stunning villas, in a beautiful unspoiled area of Crete. Lovely hosts, who will cook breakfast or dinner. All fresh to order. 5 mins walk to a gorgeous beach. A great find. 109% recommended. Would love to come again. "

"A lovely place, situated conveniently close to beaches, various restaurants, local shops and a 'mini'market'. Free parking is available uncovered or covered. None of the properties around the 20m x 10m pool look at each other, increasing your privacy. The only downside was the management dealing with problems etc. We advised them that the TV was not working. They said that that they would arrange for an engineer to come out, but nobody came."

"A lovely house for a relaxing holiday. No road noise, lovely views (mountains, sea, sunset). Many beaches within easy reach, with decent main roads. Makri Gialos was better than we expected for shopping, with a butcher and fruit & vegetable shop in addition to the mini markets (which sell most essentials) and cafes for treats. Nice restaurants such as Dragon's Cave, Diaskari, Kami, several along by the harbour and more all along the coast. Also Roman and Minoan ruins to add a bit of culture. The...

"Just back from a wonderful 10 days at Elounda Eleon Villas. Maria and Ilias are great hosts and Zetta a fantastic housekeeper who kept our villa spotlessly clean. Loved the location of our villa which had spectacular views to the sea. The pool was a welcome relief to the hot sun. The owners are lovely and make sure you have everything you need. We'll look forward to visiting again soon. "
