"I booked this hotel on a whim after reading the reviews and wanting to pamper myself on my vacation to India. I was traveling there with another friend of mine. The Manager Mr. Randheesh and Ms. Renju graciously greeted us and helped make tour arrangements as well. The chef and other staff kept checking on us to make sure we were comfortable and happy. "2 days here were enough for us to feel relaxed and enjoy the surroundings. The staff were excellent and food was good with a wide variety. As we were hoping to do bird photography and didn’t see many birds amongst the tall trees so we were a little disappointed. But all in all it’s a beautiful resort if relaxation and quiet time are what you need. "

"Hotel is located approx 22 km from Munnar town centre, its not ideal if you like to visit other places around. Half time wasted climbing up and down from the town centre. Food cost very high, a lot better options if you eat outside but again the annoying journey up and down. Overall its a OK place if you want to just stay in the hotel and don't mind food cost."

"This hotel is excellent in terms or several things. First its location. Its very near to some of the tourist attractions. Second it offers many onsite facilities like Gym, swimming pool, two restaurants, bonfire everyday on terrace with musical disco lights, the view of sunset as well as sunrise is awesome from the terrace. Fabulous location, hotel and staff

"Perched halfway up a mountain the hotel has amazing views over the tea plantations, forested hills and mountains reaching into the horizon. The lobby has a wow factor huge panoramic viewing balcony for the must have arrival photos. Check-in was fast and efficient and the staff oferred a variety of things to do including complimentary high tea, tea tasting, cookery class and a morning walk along the mountain. Room also had that wow factor with huge window and balcony to admire the view - woke early to catch a magical sunrise with misty valleys and mountains. Plenty of nice amenities in the room, good wifi and large TV with Netflix. Menu choice was great as was the food, service and staff. Enjoyed the spa treatment after a long day sightseeing. By far the best stay of our holiday."

Really good for a remote getaway

"You have to remember that this is a very remote location. On basis of that the food is very good. The setting is amazing so peaceful. The hotel does not sell alcohol, this is not very clear on the description above, so has led to some negative reviews. The food is a buffet which changes each day. There is also a menu for ordering other food instead (which is where most of the non-indian food is). The rooms are very nice. We did not choose the hot tub option. We got a large balcony amongst the trees. There was no one overlooking us, and I think that is the case on most of the rooms. The staff were very friendly. They helped arrange a tour for us. It does seem that most guests arrange their own driver and tours. I would suggest contacting the hotel before for a list of the sites to see nearby (tea plantation, waterfalls, spice gardens, chocolate factories, etc)... The list is a single page and you would be able to plan your own visits with the driver who takes you to the hotel."
