Hale Hapuna - Poipu's Best Ocean and Mountain Views

Whether you’re traveling with a large family or group of friends, Hale Hapuna is the perfect choice. It offers the ideal setting with approximately 5,000 square feet to spread out. Extra spacious living areas offer plenty of room to relax and enjoy each other’s company. Roomy, air conditioned bedroom suites offer the perfect end to a perfect island style day. The chef(s) in your group will greatly appreciate the well equipped kitchen. They may even want to venture out to one of our Farmer’s Markets for some fresh local produce to include in one of their tropical culinary creations. Enjoy the tropical breezes and fragrant scents from the multiple seating and dining areas on the expansive, wrap around lanai that offers panoramic ocean, mountain and coastline views.

Feel like you are on top of the world as this home is located at the highest point in Poipu on the top rim of an extinct crater that overlooks the Poipu Resort area. Although it may be difficult to leave this lovely home for more than hour, you are within walking distance to 3 of Kauai’s finest beaches: Shipwreck Beach to the East (best for experienced swimmers and surfers), Brennecke Beach and Poipu Beach Park to the West.

The four bedroom main home bedrooms are located on the first floor of the two story home. Second floor of main home is the kitchen, dining room, living room and large wrap around lanai with spectacular mountain/ocean vistas to the north, east and west. The additional two bedrooms are located a few steps away from the main home in the fully detached 1,000 square foot guest cottage. The guest cottage is fully equipped with a kitchen/living room area offering accommodations for an additional 4 guests. Located directly adjacent to the main house, this cottage is included in the 6 bedroom rate. Please note: AC is ONLY in bedrooms in the Main House and not available upstairs in in the living room/kitchen area (plans to install AC upstairs in the main home in fall of 2024). The detached guest cottage has AC in each bedroom and in the living room area to keep you comfortable.

It is also possible to just rent the main 4 bedroom home! Please inquire for details and pricing.

Additional amenities include: 2 private outdoor showers, WiFi, Gas outdoor grill, in room safe in master bedroom and Washer & Dryer for your use.

4 Kings, 5 Fulls, 2 Twins (Two kings in guest cottage, two kings in main home).

Hale Hapuna

Our family had a wonderful stay at Hale Hapuna. There were 15 of us and there was something for everyone, from the 3 year olds to the 70 year olds. It was a perfect vacation. Everyone enjoyed the walkable beaches, the beautiful views and the spacious living areas. We would definitely do it all over again!

Beautiful Hawaiian Get-a-way

We had a large group that all fit comfortably. Close to beaches and quaint little towns. The description was one bed short but other than that it was amazing…I would totally go back!!

Perfect home base for a large group in Kaua’i

My family absolutely loved staying at Hale Hapuna! It was centrally located, so that we could take a leisurely walk to Poipu Beach. The home was very spacious, and we appreciated that each bedroom had its own bathroom. Mostly, though, we loved taking in the view and island breezes from the second floor!

Perfect Location

Came for a wedding and 15 of us stayed here. It was amazing. Everything they said it would be and more. For multiple families, it is perfect because every room has its own bathroom plus a bathroom upstairs for common area. View from the deck is mountains and the ocean. Location to Poipu beach was awesome!

Great house for large families

We had a large group at the house and it was perfect for our needs. Plenty of room to mingle or spread out. The kitchen was great and two dishwashers really helped. Lots of great beach gear including towels, umbrellas, boogie board and snorkel gear came in handy. Would definitely recommend this house and hope to come back soon.

Great house for a group

The house is great for a group, with bedrooms below and a spacious common area above. We spent a lot of time on the deep covered deck which has beautiful views, plentiful seating and tables and shady spots. It is walking distance to Brennecke's beach and Poipu Beach. Our teenagers could watch TV without disturbing others on the deck or at the other couch seating area. The dining table easily held all 11 people in our group. It was a great location!

Great for large family reunions!

We had a incredible time in the full stocked home. Every last detail was accounted for and we were always able to find what we needed. This is perfect for families and large groups. The living area is all upstairs and the bedrooms are downstairs so it is perfect for people who want to entertain upstairs while the kids are asleep downstairs etc.. The views are incredible. The beach is a short walk and the home is also fully stocked with beach toys, towels, chairs, and boogie boards.

Perfect house, perfect view, perfect location!

There were 12 of us staying in this spacious house! Two bedrooms in the carriage house and four bedrooms in the main house. The best part is: every bedroom has its own attached bathroom! The top floor is an open floor plan with huge seating areas and the most beautiful lanai! There’s a nice walking path down to Poipu Beach with turtles, monk seals and the best hot dog stand ever! It’s also really close to a couple beaches that are perfect for babies and toddlers. I had excellent text communication with the property managers, who were always very timely and helpful.

It’s the perfect place for a large group and only 5-10 minutes walking to the beach and the Grant Hyatt. The house had everything we could possibly need (snorkel gear, bodyboards, beach chairs and umbrellas, etc). We will definitely be staying here again in the future.

Lovely home in south Kauai

Beautiful house on the island with so much space and a great spot for our family and friends vacation. Overall, it was exactly what was in the listing except one bedroom was shown to have three beds, but instead only had two. We ended up not needing it, but it was misleading. Really appreciated the thorough instructions in the house and the communication from the property management. Would definitely stay again and would recommend this house. It’s STUNNING!

Room for everyone to spread out. One of the best houses we've rented.
