"Beautiful compact hotel with stunning views from rooftop pool and nice jacuzzi. The gym is a professional 5 star gym with many equipments for a great workout with instructor on-site. The buffet breakfast is the best with many selections of local and western dishes. Finally the location is great with walking distance to many affordable restaurants and cafes and within the city of Colombo. The staff are friendly and helpful and living up to typical Sri Lankan hospitality standards. Would definitely stay there again on my next visit to SL. "

"We flew into Colombo and reserved a pickup through the hotel. Although we were almost an hour late our driver was there awaiting us. Vehicle was clean and comfortable and the drive into the city uneventful. Upon arrival at the hotel we were made to feel more than welcome, checking was quick and we were shown to our room. Although it was smaller than most we have stayed in it was very clean and not rundown in appearance. The staff was more than helpful in providing an explanation if the area and directions to various places in the vacinity. Checkout was equally easy and transport made available to the cruise port. Anyone planning a trip to Colombo I would definitely recommend staying here. "

"We stayed here for a night prior to leaving Sri Lanka from a 10-day trip. The hotel was very fancy, clean and modern and nicely decorated for Christmas. Across the Street from Dutch Hospital shopping and entertainment district. Service was great, and breakfast buffet was plentiful. "

"This is our absolute favourite place to stay in Colombo and maybe even Sri Lanka. For the price you get an upscale hotel with all the amenities. The rooms are a nice size, beds and pillows comfortable, the shower is lovely and the pool is nice and refreshing. We always opt for the breakfast buffet and we have eaten in the restaurant for supper on a few occasions. We are always impressed with the selection and effort made by the kitchen. We had an upgrade to a king deluxe room due to our Expedia VIP status and had a lovely view of the ocean and the work being done around the neighbouring buildings. We also were able to have a late checkout so we could enjoy the Mandarina as long as possible. My only requests would be to have the drinking water provided in the rooms in reusable glass bottles and to not put wheat flour in the hoppers! Disappointing when you have a wheat allergy, but I'm happy to eat the kiribath instead. We always recommend the Mandarina!"
