Don’t expect luxury, this is budget accommodation and if you want AC you won’t find private rooms at this price elsewhere. The AC was good and the refrigerator was nice to have being on a budget and buying water and snacks for my stay. The only complaint I have is cleanliness. The first room I was put in had an excessive amount of black mold on the bathroom ceiling. I asked to be moved and once I showed her she immediately moved me. The new room was better but there were still a lot of cockroaches. I’m not a picky traveler, I am outdoorsy, camp, and love nature, but it was a little gross. Bugs do not bother me and the first two I found didn’t bother me, but the 3rd and 4th much larger ones started to make me consider what was crawling over me in the night. Thankfully there were also resident geckos that I like to hope we’re having a buffet lol.
There is a nice restaurant across the street selling Thai food starting from 60 baht. 7 eleven is about a 10 minute walk away. ATM just a few doors down and lovely clean pool out back even though I didn’t use it. I was here on off season so the beach had a lot of trash and the ocean was too rough for swimming. The front desk is as helpful and kind. They also offered prices matching or cheaper than what I could find online for transport to and from the island to various locations.
