Money wasted
We were initially extremely excited about this property as it boasted most of the amenities needed, plus an added bonus of a recording studio! The host was great with information and check-in. Upon arriving at the property, we decided to relax and watch TV in the tight but cozy living room area. After a few hours on property we decided to turn in for the night. Upon pulling back the bedding in the master bedroom, a small bug was discovered in the bed. Upon further inspection, multiple bugs were found in the bed, at the time they appeared to be bedbugs. It was 1:30 in the morning at this point so we left the property out of concern of infestation and general desire to not sleep in a bed with bugs regardless of type. Admittedly, we did not check other beds, as it was a moot point. After staying at a nearby hotel we contacted the owner promptly and explained what had happened. He seemed very sympathetic and that while he didn't believe it was bedbugs, stated that he understood. He asked us to contact VRBO to get it sorted out. VRBO took our feedback and associated pictures and contacted the owner. We were then notified by VRBO that the owner stated we did not contact him immediately (even though it was 1:30am) to work out an arrangement and that there wouldn't be a refund. We nevertheless filed the bug complaint with VRBO to which they stated since it was not a bedbug, refund would be at the discretion of the host. While everything initially seemed great we are more than appalle
