Beautiful cottage in a nice idyllic setting. Great for a quiet relaxing getaway. Locally Knighton doesnt offer much but it has the essentials required. And Telford and Shrewsbury not to far away. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

A beautiful cottage and lovely hosts. Visited during the Welsh firebreak lockdown and although the cottage is in Shropshire we were still able to access local shops and take away. The area is extremely dog friendly and the cottage even had dog feeding bowls in case you come without one Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

This was a very welcome holiday for us in the middle of the covid pandemic. The cottage was delightful and fulfilled all the requirements for a safe and shielding situation. It is spacious, clean, equipped with everything and on our arrival there was a welcome package that included flowers and edible delicacies. The surrounding country is very beautiful and offered appropriate for our age walks. The owners are very discreet but congenial when you speak to them and ready to help and give you any information that you may need, including happenings in their farm. You need a car to reach amenities in nearby villages. All in all our stay there surpassed our expectations and we will both try and go back as well as recommend it to our family and friends. Thank you Gail and Nick. Excellent job! Dimitris and John Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

We cannot recommend Hope Cottage highly enough, we were made extremely welcome with a lovely cake and eggs from the Resident chickens. The cottage was warm and cosy and we did not want to leave - a lovely birthday treat. Thank you Gail and Nick.

Great care had been taken to comply with the requirements of the Corona virus sanitation. Everything you might hope had been done to ensure minimisation of any infection. We were very comfortable, and special mention is due for the eggs and milk. The cake awaiting our arrival was delicious, many thanks. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Lovely cottage, more spacious than it appears on the website. Spotlessly clean. Beautifully appointed. Thoughtful attention to detail - from cookie cutters to a night light on the landing. Nice welcome pack of cake, eggs, milk, tea and coffee. Heating had been put on, again thoughtful attention, plus there were additional heaters in rooms and a wood burner, should the guests have need of them. Fabulous shower! Kitchen had great array of utensils and equipment. Fresh flowers a nice touch. Well done, Gail, Nick and their cleaning staff (because it must be no joke adhering to all the Covid guidelines!). Highly recommend. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

This was our first trip away from home since lockdown, and we were keen to find somewhere secluded that would serve as a good base for walking in Shropshire. Hope Cottage fulfilled these requirements fantastically. We felt immediately at home in Hope Cottage - the layout was very comfortable, with loads of space in the lounge and bedroom, the kitchen was great, and the cottage had everything we needed. Gail and Nick were great hosts, and having them next door in case of problems was very handy. We were very reassured by the extra COVID-19 safety measures they had taken, and the homemade cake they left on arrival was delicious. The mature patio at the rear of the cottage was lovely for relaxing after a long walk - my only wish was that there was a table and chairs that we could use to eat at outdoors - the current furniture is best for relaxing with drinks. Btw, if you plan to walk into Knighton, allow at least 1.5h if you take the path that follows the ridge above the cottage! Overall, a wonderful place to stay, and I would definitely recommend it to others. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Had a great break in this excellently equipped cottage, the owners were lovely people and couldn't be more friendly and helpful. Marked down slightly on location only - it was fine for us, we knew what to expect, but no good if you need a pub or shop without driving.

Everything exactly as described, with a very welcome arrival cake and helpful guides in the cottage and in person! If you want a busy-centred holiday, don't come here! It was peaceful and lovely to have the dark nights to watch stars. It rained one morning but there is a good fire, so with books to read (and you don't have to take any, plenty there) we were quite happy. And the sun came out just after lunch so off we went exploring. Plenty of places to walk too.

we received a warm welcome and an assurance that we could contact the owners if there was anything we were unsure about. The cottage is not only well-equipped and comfortable, but it also has a homely atmosphere. We felt we were in a cosy home rather than in a holiday cottage. We would certainly like to plan a return visit. Eiluned Rees

A top value cottage but the access from the main road lets it down. Our car had to be reversed up hill on an unmade lane which in the dark is most unnerving.
