"I have been to Hamburg a few times, and this hotel always catches my eye. The name is actually special to me. This trip, I decided to spend a few nights here. The stay was amazing. "Fantastic hotel, right next to St. Pauli football stadium. Really interesting building full of history, great coffee shop on site and restaurant looked good but we didn’t use. Rock shop on site but closed on Sundays so didn’t visit. Great rooms with comfortable bed and fantastic shower (with nice toiletries including separate shampoo and conditioner). "A brilliant base from which to explore Hamburg, with shops and places to eat 10 minutes away. I ordered room service breakfast and had a breakfast in the restaurant. There was a choice to meet with all dietary requirements. The room was spacious and comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities. "Good place to stay in Hamburg. The rooms are reasonably sized and have enough storage space for a two suitcases to be open whilst still allowing people to move around. The rooms are very quiet. Bed is comfy. Air conditioning works. Two things I would change if I could: the desk & chair are rather pathetic - you're not going to get any serious work done here. The other thing is the magazine rack which hangs from a lampshade next to the side of the bed. It looks good but it's a pain in the arse...
