"We were traveling internationally and booked this property weeks in advance. The reservation was confirmed by VBRO. When we contacted the owner for check in instructions 1 hour prior to check in, he said he hadn't checked his email and never got our reservation. We were left in a foreign country scrambling for a new reservation for our week-long holiday at 4pm the same day. The property owner seemed to take no responsibility for ruining our vacation. "The entire experience using Ammergau Lodge was excellent. Large rooms in excellent condition along with the flexibility to use the common rooms made the experience great. We were on a family trip to Germany to visit the Xmas Markets and having visited Oberammergau several times in the past we left it until the end which finished the trip on a high note. "Wir durften einen schönen Aufenthalt in Wallgau genießen. Die Ferienwohnung war sehr sauber und geräumig und vor allem sehr gut ausgestattet. Es fehlte wirklich an nichts. Dazu waren die Vermieter sehr nett und immer zur Stelle bei Fragen. Von mir gibt es daher absolut verdiente 5 Sterne und eine absolute Weiterempfehlung, ob als Paar oder Familie. Super !!!"

"Property great location and very spacious for a family of +6 or more. Property is not as clean, stains on pillows and blankets on bed, no sheets or bedspreads, also, the hot water for showers, hand washing, and cleaning dishes is limited. When there’s 5+ people showering, it’s impossible at this location to keep water hot. I also had to request for my check in information because it was not sent to me. Late check in and early check out, worked perfectly for us. Sauna and indoor pool is nice, but...

"Great location, Comfortable house. Spent 5 days there. Bus stop was only 2 blocks away and the property came with free bus passes. So we either walked downtown or rode the bus to where we needed to go. Our only complaint would be that the showers didn't have shelves to set your soap & shampoo on."
