"Everyone here was so lovely! The air conditioning was broken and they were very apologetic. The staff are helpful and friendly and kind. They helped with all kinds of things! I was able to check in early, they hung onto my bags when I had to wait for my train so I could go out and see more of the lovely town. They had good dining recommendations. The location is great & they have a beautiful outdoor seating area where you can get a drink. Breakfast is simple, but filling! Would stay again!"

"This is a simple hotel, possibly from the Socialist era, and rather spartan in terms of decoration but it is clean, comfortable and very good value for money. It is in a nice part of town easily reached by a 10-minute bus ride from the station. My only caveat is that the walls seem quite thin and I could hear conversation from the next room so some ear plugs could be useful to ensure a good night's sleep. But I was pleased with my stay there and slept very well so i would certainly return."

"The Hotel Bystricka is a bit out of the way, but it is a terrific hotel, so if you are in the area, choose this one. You need a car. Staff is super friendly and helpful, rooms are clean and quiet, and the restaurant is good. This last bit is important, because there are few nearby dining options, grocery stores, or cafes. At the end of a tiring day, sitting down to a decent meal really matters. I hope to stay here again if I get the chance."
