"One of the best in Oudtshoorn! Will always go back. Just very disappointed this time with the maintenance and house cleaning Dept. Aircon not working, toilet flush system broken, washing line cable in shower broken.. Someone slipped up big. Rest of team went out their way to accommodate. Well done Kelly and the Chef!"

"This would have been a fantastic stay but we did book economy rooms and they were fairly basic compared to the rooms with private terraces onto the main gardens. Economy rooms seem to be for the drivers (mini bus and coach drivers etc) so I recommend checking where your room will be and perhaps going up a level. "

"The location and grounds were stunning and incredibly well kept. The children had lots of green space to play and explore and be up close with the animals. Our deck was expansive which made for lovely evenings watching the sun go down behind the hills and the sky change colour. The beds were incredibly comfortable which was a pleasant surprise as we have bad backs and often struggle to sleep while travelling. "We were disappointed to find our room smelling very heavily of mold, discovered cockroaches and spiders in the room also. We could not stay the night."

"We had a family trip stay for 3 nights. Arrived late at night and was warmly greeted and would have given us food if we needed but we ate on the way. Friendly , helpful staff were excellent all around. Food was good to average but the service top notch! We enjoyed time by the pool was lovely. Meerkat safari was arranged for us, then we went to High gate Ostrich farm had a terrific guide Jonathon was so fun! And then Cango Caves were fantastic and finished this jam packed day at the Cango...

"Everything about this hotel is great. They take you back in time when nothing was too good for you. I have been in South Africa for 6 weeks and the evening meal was delicious on all courses. The best I have had on this trip. Service very friendly and helpful. "
