Come and enjoy ”Current View Cottage!” Semi Ocean Front on the Beach Road of the Outer Banks! Beautiful brand new deck and hot tub! New furnishings and décor! Beautiful ocean views without ocean front prices in one of the most beautiful areas of Kitty Hawk beach! Stunning ocean views from all living areas and deck. (Vacant lot directly in front of cottage provides excellent views of ocean!) This is a pet free home.

You will love this beautifully decorated 1950’s cottage that has been renovated to maintain some of its original character and has all the modern conveniences you need! If you are looking for a rental home that is full of character, charm, and comfort, you will adore Current View Cottage.

Main level includes living room, dining area and well equipped kitchen with geo-glass countertops that look like sea glass, bar sink, and wine refrigerator. First floor Master bedroom (queen bed) with wall mounted TV, two full bathrooms, and a Bunk Room that sleeps 4 with Smart TV. Relax on the first floor large deck with new hot tub where you will experience beautiful ocean views, sunrises, and gorgeous, moon lit nights over the ocean. You will be so close to the ocean that you may see beautiful dolphin frolicking on any given day!

Upstairs has 1 bedroom with queen bed and 1 bedroom with full bed and also a half bath. (No worries, you can use one of the two downstairs baths with showers or forgo those and use the beautiful outdoor shower with hot and cold water after your day on the beach!)

Ultra comfortable beds, LINENS AND BATH TOWELS ARE PROVIDED for your convenience.

Ground level has additional outdoor sitting area with with sofa, table and chairs, picnic table, and outdoor shower. Here you will find a utility closet with beach chairs, boogie boards, coolers, corn hole boards, beach toys and large beach cart to carry everything over to the beach!

Extras include: Beverage refrigerator, Keurig, and regular coffee makers, blender, coffee grinder, electric juicer, wi-fi throughout house, high chair, new pack and play, bed linens, hair dryers in all bathrooms, *starter” paper products/trash bags included and few extra special treats for our guests!

Current View Cottage in such a great location on the beach road just three miles over the bridge! (No need to sit in traffic going to northern beaches or down south) Perfectly situated in a quiet residential area, but within a mile of so many great restaurants!

Recreational amenities at the vacation home include a hot tub to die for, old-school PAC-Man arcade game, and dark nights for star gazing (from the hot tub is even better!).

Much needed change of scenery
The View Cottage was exactly how described and reviewed. We absolutely loved the ocean view from every front room in the cottage. We would definitely stay again upon return to the Outer Banks.

We had a great time staying at the View Cottage! The view from the porch overlooking the dunes and ocean was phenomenal and there was great space to relax and enjoy our company. Beach access was very convenient and the property was well-stocked with beach supplies. We will be keeping tabs on the cottage for future stays!

Great Hosts, Beautiful Location
We loved our trip!! First the hosts were SO responsive and VERY helpful. Our internet wasn't working upon arrival and they hopped right on the phone and got it fixed immediately! The house has a wonderful view of the beach and is right across the street, HOWEVER for families with young children - please note you do have to walk along the street for a little bit before you can access the beach access (its not directly across the street as the pictures make it seem). It was fine and its not far, but just be aware. The hot tub with the views was amazing! The house was very clean and beds were comfortable. Please note something about the layout - the only living room/hang out space is directly attached to the main bedroom on that level (one of the queen beds) and does not have a solid door (just a door with slats/openings). So it was hard for people to continue hanging out in that space if someone wanted to go to bed. But other than that the house was very cozy. The house comes equipped with LOTS of beach stuff: carts, boogie boards, chairs, buckets/shovels, etc. The guests before us broke the pac man machine so unfortunately that was down when we got there, that was a bummer because we had wanted a game room for the kids, but the hosts had tried to fix it. There are 2 restaurants 0.5 miles away, other than that most things are 1+ mile, but the house is very central to most things and close to mini golf/go carts, etc. Overall very lovely trip!

Great Oct Getaway!!
Great beach location with fabulous deck to hang out on and see the ocean. We reached out to the host with just a couple questions and they were always very quick to respond and very nice. House was stocked as described, the beach was a short 2 min walk away, we had just about everything you could need in the kitchen. We all had a great time. Couldn’t really ask for more! Appreciate a great place to stay at a beautiful beach! Thank you!!

Great trip
This house was the perfect place for our family vacation! The outdoor sand kitchen was adorable and my kids loved it. The beach access was super close. And we were close to shopping and restaurants. We would recommend this to anyone looking for a nice trip to the beach.

10/10 Love the View Cottage!
We had an absolutely fantastic week and made so many memories at the View Cottage . The lovely and very clean home is located steps from the beach , incredible views, nice new hot tub, and a great deck with plenty of seating to enjoy the view. The home is stocked with everything you need including kitchen utensils , games , beach chairs & boogie boards for the family! The location is also ideal. Plenty of activities north and south. Some things we did - boys went on an awesome fishing trip and we ate delicious fresh fish all week , we all enjoyed an incredible sunset at Jockeys Ridge, shopped in Duck, went go karting , and enjoyed the views as we ate at Fish Heads. Can’t say enough about Therese and Herb. They are amazing hosts. Therese provided so much info about what to do and where to eat. As soon as Herb found out about our fishing trip, he called to share tips and their family experiences . Both were so easy to reach and answered every question we had . The View Cottage is all around a great place and we definitely recommend staying if you plan to visit OBX!!!

Another great week at The View!
Perfect house for our group of 7. This was our 3rd summer here and we are already booked for 2024. Can’t beat the location! Owners really care about maintaining the property and have great communication. They just added a new deck and hot tub. Be aware the grill is a camp style charcoal grill. Bring your own towels but sheets are included! Easy beach access and you can’t beat the view! The beach in this area is never crowded thanks to the dunes in the area. Houses are not very concentrated. Plenty of space whether you’re out there early or not until the afternoon. It’s in an ideal location along the beach road. Their shed is well stocked with beach chairs, sand toys, a wagon, frisbee, bubbles, boogie boards, coolers, umbrella, nets. Just bring your beach towels! House is conveniently located to grocery stores, target, pharmacy etc. So many things to do in the area and the owners have many wonderful suggestions if you need them! Do not hesitate to book!

Outstanding stay - great location and comfort!
Best property we’ve stayed in after 20 years of coming to the outer banks. The view is gorgeous, the deck is an amazing place to entertain and relax, especially the high quality hot tub. Access to the beach is very easy to come and go throughout the day. Perfect outdoor shower under the house. The few times it rained we could enjoy the sitting area under the house too - super cute! The home checks all of the table stakes boxes for me - comfortable beds, good climate control, plentiful hot water with good water pressure, no street noise. We’ve never slept so well in OBX! Kitchen was well equipped. The layout worked well for our group - parents in the first floor queen, our 13 yr old son in the adjoining room which would have accommodate a few more guests. Our 18 yr old daughter and her friend had their own area upstairs, so they were undisturbed by our earlier morning starts. We had other family staying a mile away and they were jealous of our place. Herb and Therese are great! We’re thankful they’ve established this new go-to place for us.

We really enjoyed our stay and appreciated the communication with the owners. The owners made it easy by providing linens, which was a huge plus when arriving late at night. There were so many beach supplies as well as badminton, bubbles, and other kid activities. You could tell the owners put a lot of thought into guest enjoyment- there were lots of books and kids activities throughout the house. My kids really enjoyed the outdoor sand kitchen.

Great place for an Outer Banks stay
We stayed three nights at The View Cottage at the end of May - four adults and four children. The place was perfect for us. Great location, a very quick walk to the beach. The house itself was fantastic - clean, comfortable, with a great beach decor. It was clear that Herb and Therese put a lot of thought into details of the interior design and the traveler experience. The board game cabinet was a hit with the older kids and the high chair they provided was really helpful for our one-year-old. Logistics were very easy - Herb and Therese responded to messages within a few minutes every time, and check-in and check-out were simple. Only downside was a lack of sunshine during our stay, but the hot tub on the deck ended up being perfect for the cool evenings. Would definitely recommend this place!

Memorial Day weekend 2023
Our family stayed here with 8 people ranging in ages from 6 months to 82 years young!! In spite of the rainy, cool weather, we enjoyed this charming beach cottage so much! The location is perfect, and it’s truly an easy (1minute) walk to the beach! We were able to comfortably park 5 cars, and we had plenty of room inside the house. The hot tub was easy to use, and especially enjoyable since the weather was cool while we were there. The deck area was spacious, The beds were comfortable, the showers had great water pressure, and the home is beautifully decorated! The extra beverage refrigerator was a nice perk too! I do feel it’s worth noting that the room With the bunk beds adjoins the mater bedroom with sliding pocket doors that don’t lock; and the main entrance to the master bedroom has a door on it with slats in it that you can actually somewhat see through, and you definitely can hear everything going on in the adjacent living area! If your traveling with family/kids, it’s probably a non-issue. It was fine for us. I would not hesitate to stay here again! This place is exactly what a beach cottage should be!!
