Newly renovated house in Duck

Newly renovated Beach House located 2.5 miles north of the heart of Duck and 1.5 miles south of The Sanderling Resort. (Bike/Walking trail in both directions) The side porch has an AMAZING view overlooking the Sound perfect for evening sunsets. It is also a short 4-5 min walk to the beach for beautiful morning sunrises. A wonderful place for a little relaxation. My husband and I bought this house in Duck for family vacations to create many memories but wanted to share that with others. We currently live in Currituck but love going to Duck for the weekends

Great little house for a getaway

We had a group of 5 stay at the property, including two young kids. The location was great. Host was very helpful at check in and was happy to answer any questions. Would certainly stay again.

Relaxing In Duck

Well appointed and comfortable. Nice view of the bay and sunset in the evenings. Short walk to a really nice beach. King and Queen beds very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again 😊

Great house.

Very nice house. Clean, nicely decorated and in great location. Short, easy walk to beach and only minutes from Duck town center. Wonderful deck with views of the sound..

Great stay in Duck!

This was the perfect spot for our family! We’ve stayed in Duck many times, but had to split our large group up into smaller houses. This was perfect for my parents, my husband, and our baby! The house was clean, lots of helpful beach gear, kitchenware, and comfortable beds. The bikes and deck/view were awesome! Thanks for your hospitality, Kim and TJ!

Great stay!

We spent the Labor Day long weekend here and it worked out perfectly. The walk to the beach is quick and easy. the house is well appointed and plenty of space. The deck has a nice view of the sound that we enjoyed while eating dinner.

Our family of 5 really enjoyed staying at this home for 5 nights in August. The walk to the beach is a short one, the outdoor shower is perfection, the home was very clean and comfortable, but the real gold star goes to the AC unit! Thank you for sharing your home - we will be back!

Perfect place

We loved the house. It was very clean! It was a short walk to the beach. We had a 10 month old with us. We used a beach wagon. The outlet to the beach was a ramp. There were no steps which made it so much easier. There was a beautiful view of the bay from the deck. The sunset was beautiful. We will definitely stay there again!

Great getaway

The house was perfectly located. It was clean and A/C was great. Our days were hot and humid so it was needed along with fans in the rooms. There were bikes, lots of chairs (some in fairly new condition), a beach buggy and coolers. We noticed a lot of sand toys too. We enjoyed the sunsets and easy walk to the beach. The place was clean and laid out well. A few areas for improvement — supply some more glasses (for drinking and cocktails), a propane grill, and invest in adding pavers or cement around the outside shower / storage closet. We’d rent here again! Thank you!

Great cozy house. Close to everything.

Nice comfortable house. We had our son& girlfriend and another couple staying with us for the weekend. Great location. Close to Duck. Just a few minute walk to the beach. Love that beach bikes, beach cart and chairs were available for our use during our stay. We were only there for a weekend wedding at Sanderling so didn’t get to spend much time on the beach or use the bikes but would love to come back again. The complimentary bottle of wine was very thoughtful too. Thanks again.

Just the right size and location!

We rented this cute property for the weekend to stay in before we checked into our weekly rental in Corolla. Much better than a hotel room!! Location to beach access easy 5 min walk and to get to the main drag in Duck was great, although no uber or taxi is available to take you. The 3 we called wont drive in on weekends because of traffic in Duck. So plan ahead and leave early for dinners its an 1.5 wait anywhere you go and we just shopped while we waited!! Host suggested NC Coastal for dinner and it was so worth the wait. We enjoyed the deck in the morning for coffee and you get a great view of the sun and sound. The beds are comfy. Really liked that the master bedroom had a connected bathroom for my in laws. The house was clean and the host was very responsive to all my inquiries. Only problem we had was ants on the table on the deck from the previous renters ,must have spilled something and we cleaned that up with some soap and water. Overall great stay and would come back.

Memorial Day Stay

Excellent property which very useable and comfortable. It was pretty well stocked with pans, dishes, essential spices, plastic wrap etc.! The house was especially nice inside with exception of the ice maker being rusted and not useable and one of the fabric chairs needing a deep clean. Also the sheets had to be rewashed as they had a slight odor to them. Outside the house needed a power-washing. Also almost all of the outdoor furniture on the deck was very rusted as well as the beach chairs under the deck. The outdoor shower was very nice and even smelled great! The beach cart with big beach tires was a definite plus! The location was fabulous and a quick but nice walk to the beach. Good value.

Perfect stay in Duck!

This house was great for our family of four, which includes two teenagers. Plenty of space, clean, and had everything we needed. Easy walk to the beach. Easy drive to Duck - I enjoyed staying north of the village and being out of the crowds. Kim was great to communicate with - I had a lot of questions and she graciously answered them all! Recommend renting beach gear from Ocean Atlantic Rentals. I think we paid $32 for a big umbrella and two chairs for a day and they let us return at noon the next day without additional charge. For just a little more you can have gear for the whole week. Recommend North Duck Watersports (walking distance from house) for jet ski, kayak, etc. rentals. And for food: Duck Donuts (of course!), Coastal Cravings (best crab cakes), Coastal Cantina for nice boardwalk Mexican eats, and Mama Easley’s in Corolla (wicked good fish and chips). Kim and TJ’s house is the perfect launching point for your Duck vacation!

Perfect

This was our second time staying at Kim's home for our "sister" vacation. This home is perfect for us, so very welcoming and clean. The location is in a quiet neighborhood with just a very short walk from the beach. We appreciate Kim and her husband providing such a wonderful place for us to have a vacation. God willing, we will be back again next year. Thank you Kim.
